Elevator availability was a huge issue. They have 4 elevators but only 2 were in working condition. Building has over 20 floors so it was very frustrating. Linen availability was an issue. We could never get any washcloths. Lots of cobwebs on our ceiling. Room was too warm for comfort but we were told the front desk controls the temperature and nothing could be done. The carpet remained wet in areas so we always had to keep our shoes on. There seems to be a pest problem. We have several bug bites. The location was good.

This is a pretty good and descent vintage hotel in the heart of NY City. Close to everything. I would be happy to come back to this hotel when visiting NY City. The service was perfect and friendly The concierge Daniel Goldman was awesome. He recommend us good places and even helped us with reservations. We are really pleased.

Great location, friendly staff
Quick trip for a Carnegie Hall concert -- the hotel has a great location and is surrounded by good restaurants (Il Corso was delightful for dinner!) and many quick bite places. Short walk to central Park and easy access from NJ (we were traveling from DC). It made it easy to consider quick trips to see something interesting, resting and getting back home. Good beds with excellent duvets and fairly good pillows, modern renovation with some signs of wear.

Nice hotel and staff. Elevator took way too long to be able to get on and down to the lobby. Really big issue with the heating and cooling. Front desk says that the entire hotel runs on the same system. Froze our butt off the first night. Way too hot to sleep the next couple nights.

Great location, service from arrival was seamless, Anna at the front desk was very helpful and ensured we had a medical fridge in the room on arrival. I read a lot of reviews regarding slow elevators, honestly no issues at all, rooms were large for New York, clean and well maintained. Could the rooms do with an update, sure but it’s not scruffy, it was comfortable and really how much time do you really spend in the room. Lots of deli’s and diners (Brooklyn Diner on 57th is my go to) nearby and great location for Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue public Transportation. Couldn’t ask for better. Highly recommended.
