My Favorite Crash Pad: the Pod
My go-to place for a quick stay in NYC. Near Grand Central Station. Also great for longer stays if you want to know your property is secure while exploring the city all day.

The rooms are tiny but clean. Towels are small and not plush. The air vent in the barhroom cannot be turned off and you hear it all night as well as it gets extremely loud at times, waking you up in the middle of the night.

Good value. Bare bones hotel but at a good price. Very walkable to midtown and East River with ferries available. I would definitely stay here again. My one complaint is the waste of cups and paper plates in the morning restaurant. They do not recycle these products. Odd for NYC.

Small, but comfy room. Great staff. Great rooftop bar. Location convenient to bus and subway transports. Just a great area. Second year on a row I have stayed at Pod 39. Highly recommended.
