We enjoyed our two night stay at the Romer's. We came in on the subway from JFK, and it was about 1 block walk from the subway station. We came to eat food and see the museums, and Hell's Kitchen is ground zero for foodies! We found great places to eat within a 15 minute walking distance. Two things we didn't prepare for. We came to NYC with practically no cash, as we had just come from a recent trip to Europe, where everything is cashless. Tips are still paid in cash in NYC in many circumstances. We were unprepared. Also, some great bagel places we tried were cash only, as well. Be prepared for that! We were charged $45 per night by the hotel for an "urban fee". I looked it up when we got home, and apparently, there is some controversy over this fee on the DA's website, and we may try to fight it. They could just up the price of the room by that amount but they would be taxed on it, and they would be less competitive. Beware. Beside that fee, everything else was fantastic, and we certainly plan on returning to Romer's Hell Kitchen in the future. It's a great location at a reasonable price.

Great location in the heart of New York which was a perfect base for exploring. The room was spacious and like being able to eat meals in the lobby. Missed a kettle in the room but apart from that the perfect hotel in Nee York!

Glad I stayed here this time around. Significantly better than other hotels I’ve been at around time square. Friendly staff. The only thing this place is missing is a gym but I know space is tight around there.

Good location, acceptable facility.
Cute centrally located hotel. Rooms seemed to be fairly spacious especially for New York. Tiny bathroom with peeling paint and dated fixtures. The room lacked a lot of amenities that you would expect in a similarly priced hotel. The check in experience was challenging and made more difficult but a very unpleasant and rude employee who repeatedly whined 'I want to go home.' Overall stay was fine but for the price you can probably find a place where the staff don't make you feel like you're an inconvenience for simply being there.
