My room - a deluxe King - was tiny and, save for the bed (which was comfortable but definitely not a king-size), functionally useless. I get that it is New York - I lived there for 10 years and understand that all accommodations are necessarily compact. The problem was that nothing was done to make it useful. There was no closet, no hangers (!), no iron... not even a coat hook. The desk was about 2 feet long and 8" wide, with its surface entirely taken up with what amenities there were (an alarm clock, a phone, some tissues), so in the morning when I needed to do some work, I had to sit on the bed. I left stressed and rumpled (again, no iron, no hangers, no coat hook....). Overall, the room did its job, but I would never return.

The hotel itself is very average all around, which is fine. Unfortunately the service left much to be desired. I had to cut my trip short due to an unforeseen event and I asked the management if it was possible to grant some type of credit (not even a refund) for the days in my reservation I was going to have to forfeit. The manager was extremely dismissive and rude in declining to provide any type of solution. For a hotel which is already very average the service makes all the difference. This hotel does not pass that test. 5/10

Hotel room was very limited. Lacked storage space, hooks to hang items, no robes. We didn't have a luggage tray or section. I asked for extra towels, ice and tissues and it was never delivered. Phone in room didn't work. "Happy hour" on 2nd floor was only available Mon thru Fri and it was uneventful...limited wine selection. However the attendant was very lovely (she's Dominicana). The executive suite should've offered additional amenities. The bed seemed liked it ready for an upgrade since it squeaked. The front reception team was just OK...I guess I just expected more for the location and ambiance.

This hotel was very accommodating, clean, and located in a safe area. I loved the architecture around it. If I needed to go to Upper Manhattan, I would just hop on the subway and get there easily. The Financial District is tucked away in Lower Manhattan, but it’s close to the Brooklyn Bridge—perfect for a walk—and also close to the Staten Island Ferry, which is free. Overall, if most of your plans are in Upper Manhattan, staying in FiDi may not be ideal, but it’s a great option for the price. Also they have complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese hour.

The room was modern & clean. The front desk attendant was very polite. Positives were the evening wine, room cleaning service and location. Negatives were the breakfast could have had more variety (different flavors oatmeal, coffee creamer available, maybe cereal) the breakfast was basically out by the time we got there at 9:30 to eat. My husband booked a room for 3 we had our daughter with us and beware the hotel only sleeps two. They did not have any rollout beds or cots. Lastly surprised by an additional destination fee once we got there.. I thought all fees were paid now when you book things online.

The room was perfect for a few days with a lot of NYC activity planned. It is super close to battery park, museums, restaurants. And the subway was at the end of the block making getting uptown easy!!! The front desk staff are helpful and friendly always said hello when we came in!!
