It was very basic and small; a lot of money for what you got. Everything was run down. Wi-Fi in the rooms didn’t work. The only hot food at breakfast was burgers and French toast. Not very good vegetarian options. The area around it at certain bits made me feel a bit uneasy due to the people there; shouting and talking to themselves. However the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is our first stay in NY so I can’t really compare against other hotels in this city. The hotel is in an old building and it hasn’t been renovated but this could be its charm? The room is clean, the bed on the small side but comfortable enough, the bed linen and towels clean and new. It is however quite noisy because of the old windows/airconditioner. The bathroom is also vintage but adequate. The WIFI although showing as available was not connecting at all over the 14 hours that we were there. The reception staff don’t know what a smile is.

This isn't the fanciest of hotels, but I got a clean, comfortable room at a great price within walking distance of Penn Station and breakfast included. Front desk staff was kind and helpful and I would absolutely return the next time I visit NYC.

I found the Leo house an affordable option in a city that is known to be expensive. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are basic but I found it perfectly adequate for my needs as I was out exploring the city for most of the day and just needed somewhere safe and clean to sleep which the Leo House provided.

This is in a great location and the staff were great. Beds were comfortable and it was quieter than most hotels. Close to a lot of restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to MSG.

I have been to NYC many, many times. It's my favorite city to visit. So, you can guess how many hotels I've stayed in there. I've recently completed my 2nd stay at The Leo House and can tell you that I will come back again and again and again. It has everything I need. It's in a safe and convenient neighborhood, with easy access to The High Line, the subway, and tons of food options. It is older, and some of the finishes reflect this. BUT - it is clean, it is safe, the staff is friendly. I really enjoyed sitting in the courtyard garden for work a couple of days I was there. It's a lovely, enclosed, private garden where you feel miles away from the hustle. The breakfast is adequate and the coffee is good. For me on this visit, the laundry room access was a huge benefit. It's $1 a load to wash and $1 to dry. The machines are in the basement and they are in very good working order. Overlook the older furniture and fixtures in the room. You don't need those to be fancy. You're in NYC, baby! Sleep, wash, and go outside to explore! Absolutely the BEST value for NYC.

We knew the hotel was if a different era but was pleasantly surprised that the hotel had installed free Wi-Fi, air con and to. We arrived early and was able to store our luggage curtesy of Miss Marilyn and again we left our luggage and checked out and 9am and returned at 14.30, no issues. Room was a little dated but clean and comfortable bed and good shower. Would stay here again

I give a huge shoutout to the staff who made me feel at home. Incredible breakfast!! Better than most American hotels. Office staff,especially Natalie, were wonderful. I had a big issue regarding a bus tour. Natalie helped .e on tbe computer and printed documents for free. My room and shower rooms were very clean. I had beautiful new towels. Room had comfy bed, 1/2 bath, tv. AC. Desk, 2 chairs, large closet.House had several living rooms, larhe foyer with tv, water station. outdoor courtyard. I felt very co.fortable and safe. Awesome budget hotel in Chelsea. One block to subway. 10 minute walk to Penn station. Easy subway to downtown. Friendly staff and very clean room. Some rooms have shared bathrooms so double check your room type.
