We had excellent service from the staff. However, we felt that virtually everything had an extra charge (holding bags), there was an extra charge of $35 (credit for bar/dining but not always able to use it), valet parking exorbitant. Room small but expected for an older hotel; however, the maintenance in the room was not consistent with "luxury."

Perfect place to stay in NYC
We got to the hotel early to leave our bags but to our surprise our room was ready which worked out perfectly. Hotel was walking distance from the major sites and also in a quiet area away from a lot of congestion. We only stayed 1 night but everything was great.

Absurdly overpriced for what you get, Paying for baggage storage on exit was the last straw. Stop junk fees. Being charged $35 on arrival —a new pleasure —was waived because they did not have our king bed ready. Paper thin walls so if your neighbor is noisy that is an uncosted extra.

You had great shower and comfy bed but poor internet connection but most of all window that are not well isolated. The noise of the heater and from outside is really bad.

Decent price for the area. Rooms are out of date and quite small, but it’s an old property. There is a required $35 daily fee along with a $35 food/beverage credit, but that doesn’t cover 2 drinks. I’d prefer they just charged more and left it at that. Breakfast was decent but the eating area was pretty small relative to the number of people eating.
