We had no idea when we booked this, but just a few houses down is a bus stop for the New Jersey Transit 121 bus. After this stop, it makes one more stop a few blocks away on Dowd Street, and the stop after that is downtown Manhattan at the Port authority terminal, just a couple blocks fr! Wow!!!! It's kind of like having your own limo service, straight to New York City for just seven bucks!
That was just one of many surprises regarding this cute little attic apartment. It was cozy, very private, and the layout made a lot of sense for us considering it is an attic apartment. My lady and I are both short, 5'6 and under, but I do think the apartment could cause some difficulty for people over 6 ft tall.
I was really impressed with the neighborhood, a wonderful Cafe is just a few houses down, great Salvadoran and Portuguese. Lunch options nearby, and some great New York fried Chicken and gyros available late night, all just a block or two away.
We were not bothered by the owner/host at all during our trip, and all of the equipment and amenities worked perfectly. The security system is simple and sensible, and there are room sized AC units at each end of the attic apartment that worked perfectly fine, even in the peak of Summer. The small kitchen area has two two modern electric burners and a good fume hood. The sink, toilet and shower were all in excellent order, and the little living area outside of the bedroom was a very cozy place for everybody to get together.
