Dated and dirty
Firstly I had to contact the owner the day before arrival to find out how to get key/access as I had not been given any information. On arrival inside was dated, not particularly clean and some areas poorly maintained. Had to clean the kitchen and the En-Suite. Kitchen cupboard were greasy and had dried in food remnants. Everything had to be washed before use. The kitchen bins did not close and the microwave did not work. There was cobwebs everywhere, one of the quilt covers has mould stains, window was broken in one bedroom which created a draft. The main bathroom only has a bath with dated rubber shower attachment. My son cleared dead flies from his windows. Curtains were hanging of curtain poles and the whole house was generally very dusty. Bed in the downstairs bathroom was very uncomfortable causing me to wake during the night in pain, we ended up leaving a day early. I contacted the owner whilst we were there and she spoke to the property manager who advised they had inspected the property and it was clean!! She was on holiday at the time of speaking and advised she would get back to me. I have given it a few weeks but as I have not had a further response I am now leaving a review. Advertised as luxury accommodation but this is far from it. If the property had been cleaned properly I could overlook some things but all in all not a good . Such a pity as with

Stressful & very poor check in
Sent 3 messages to the host days before we where due to arrive re how to access the property, got no replies, had to phone booking agent VRBO on arrival as we couldn’t get inside & as there was no 4g signal we had to drive off again & find a signal, it seems tie host “forgot” to send details. overall we found the property adequate for 2 nights stay but wouldn’t have been happy to stay longer as beds although clean where extremely uncomfortable. Bathrooms def need attention. Upstairs living room was very comfortable & nicely decorated. Kitchen was great but no kitchen roll or soap so need to bring your own. Plenty of outside space in the garden & close to tullymore forest entrance gates. Front of the property looks a bit tired, could look so much nicer with a little attention. We would come back again if the beds were upgraded as hard to sleep on such thin cheap mattresses.

Great place
Perfect location tight at the back gate of Tollymore, loads of things to do for children and adults alike, and a very helpful owner when we left some things behind

Nice House friendly neighbours
The house was really nice. The major shops are in Newcastle no little corner store. My kids loved being close to the Woods and the neighbours had a Xmas carols service & marshmallows around the fire when we were there.

Location is great just across from Tollymore Foresf Park and 3 miles to Newcastle.
A little bit tired decor wise both inside and out. Detailed cleaning needs attention but overall adequate. Location is quite with ample parking. Would recommend it.

Great Location
Rented this property for 1 week during the NorthField Bible week.. Great location and nice house.. The house was lacking a few minor kitchen essentials and could do with updating some of the kitchen essentials that were provided.. The oven was a nightmare to use as the marking around the nobs were worn off.. Places in the house were grubby but we didn’t let it ruin our stay let’s just say I’m glad I brought Mr Muscle with me!! The single beds upstairs were very creaky and woke the whole house when someone turned in their bed. I’m glad I chose the double room down stairs. The main bathroom upstairs has only a shower head which was not attached to the wall and no shower curtain which was difficult to shower properly.. Bedroom down stairs had an en-suite shower thankfully.. Beds were clean lots of towels provided.. Overall we had a great time and if you give the place a wee touch of Mr Muscle then it will be grand.. Excellent location beside Tollymore forest park which we frequented daily..
