Basic but clean. Evening meals and breakfasts expensive but a chain pub and carvery down the road was inexpensive. Advertised Electric Vehicle Charging but they were Tesla only.
Clearly a very inexpensive hotel, but well kept and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Cannot recommend enough if you need somewhere cheaply priced in that area - i have paid much more for worse service.
Rooms are basic but very clean.Staff were very efficient and pleasant.

This is always our place of choice when visiting the Durham area.
Room was small dark and dingy, carpet was disgusting needs replacing.
Bed was not comfortable.
There is no hairdryer in the room, you have to go to reception to get it even though it states when booking there is one in the room!!

Super friendly and efficient staff. Mattress and decor tired. Talking audible through walls.
The room was clean tidy comfortable and quiet( 2nd floor room rear facing). The shower was very powerful. Overall a very good value for money stay.
Also located close to A1M so i was able to easily visit the places i had planned to see on my trip.
This is a great hotel at a great price. Stopped many times and always fabulous. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Staff are a joy to deal with add that little bit extra to the stay - as does the breakfast which I would recommend purchasing. The bar area is great with TVs, board games and always good company.
