housekeeping was very careless, there was garbage and water from the kettle left by the previous customer, the hair dryer was missing, the housekeeping staff did not do its job well. The location is very convenient, but there have bar &club nearby so very noisy until 12am, the soundproofing of the room is very bad and there are drunk girls chatting at the door late at night, which leads to poor sleep. Thanks to the security staff for assisting in the evening,

Hotel itself was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Although coffee machine a bit suspect (delivered VERY weak coffee). Outside the hotel was wild. One hen party after another staggering past.

We stayed on the 7th September to attend Elvis Costello's concert. The cost was double the price we paid for our second night on the 8th due to the Great North run. This was extortionate, guests were ripped off by not only the cost of the room but drinks were extortionately high too.

Perfect area for shopping, railway stn, Metro Bedroom comfortable, except no drawers to put clothes in. Sorry don't like living out of a suitcase, especially when you have paid for a deluxe twin room. First morning hot breakfast not hot, however the following morning hot.
