The Hyatt Newport Beach on Jamboree is a beautiful property, the grounds are so beautifully cared for..very relaxing resort. The rooms are showing their age, but always very clean..

This is in no way a 4 star hotel. Its gross! My bed smelled like cigarettes. It’s honestly outrageous that it is the price it is and that it’s “4 stars” … very outdated… basically on the nice end of a motel spectrum. Do not recommend

I don’t think that the property is dirty in anyway the rooms are very musty. I think they’re just old and need to be redone. The room was closed up when we got there and the air-conditioning or Any ventilation was off and it was almost like an ocean front property with no ventilation. Don’t know that I would stay there again just because of that. It was a little bit of a turn off staff absolutely amazing property beautiful. Great location.

Classic Hyatt Regency
Hyatt Regency properties have excellent reputations. The service was great at this beautiful resort. It sits directly in the flight path of John Wayne Airport so be ready for all day jet takeoff noise.

The only real benefits of this property was the proximity to the airport and the performance by Brian Culbertson. It’s green & quiet. But this property is disconnected from the area, so you’re limited to the getting around by auto. The parking (Self) lot is so far you don’t want to come & go. And the service is well below what you’d expect from a Hyatt Hotel….room service food in takeout boxes delivered in shopping bags? So it’s not worth just hanging out at the property.
