Our stay was quiet; we were upgraded to a larger room which was lovely. The views were spectacular and the hotel itself was unique and historical.

This is a fabulous, historic property with views that are unbeatable and lawns that extend to the ocean's edge. Wonderful, helpful staff and an incredible setting, Highly recommend!

Beautiful location outside of town. Easy self parking, with gorgeous views of the harbor. There were weddings there both nights we stayed, so was a little noisy. They offered to switch our room for us, which was nice. Breakfast is continental, but we enjoyed eating it with the beautiful view!

Stay was deceit but not as expected for the price. Checking in staff was less than friendly. Room was uncomfortably warm, necessary to call front desk to cool down and then it went from warm to freezing temperature. Not well controlled. Attended wedding during stay, great experience and fun. Bar severs pleasant. Food servers less than friendly.

This is an old mansion turned into a hotel. As a result the rooms and bathrooms are on the small side. The hotel is a popular wedding venue with a wedding both nights we were there. While attempting to check in and unload luggage a wedding party decided to have a photo shoot in the circular driveway. The wedding party was very nice and even helpful but the photographer was rude acting as if were were intruders even telling us to “hurry up”.

The property was completely beautiful. The location is stunning. They were completely quiet on Wednesday night with no one Staying there, yet they put us in the attic room with poor air conditioning. Not sure why this has to be if they had no one staying there?

Can be found charming for a wedding venue, but best to stay elsewhere for anything else. No shuttle, no pool, no vending machines, no mini fridge, A/C makes a lot of noise, pillows are too hard. 5 out of 5 for clean rooms. Didn't try the restaurant.

Unbelievable that the wifi service was sooo weak and spotty for the amount that this hotel charges - it seems they take for granted that most guests are there for a wedding - and therefore have no choice but to stay there regardless of the inconveniences … For everyone else, they should stay elsewhere

spending the night in a Newport mansion
The hotel was formerly a summer "cottage" in Newport, a perfect place to stay after touring some of the other "cottages" like the Breakers & The Elms. It's primarily an ocean-front wedding venue, although we had the place almost entirely to ourselves on a Mon-Tu stay. Wonderful old mansion, very friendly staff.
