Perfectly fine place to stay. Also, I was VERY annoyed that that I got so many emails from both VRBO and VACASA. Why both? (This is why I gave only one star to the "communication with property manager" question.) I rented this through VRBO -- what does Vacasa have to do with anything? It really pissed me off!

3Days in Newport
Great access to beach.Great view of ocean when no cars are parked in wrong place.( this is from lower unit ). Clean and comfortable except for the couch, (lump), which is low and the most uncomfortable piece of furniture I have ever come across. Quite noisy when people in upper unit move around. Location is great, close to eateries and places of interest.

Great Location
This property was perfect for a short stay with my dog in tow to help my son relocate to Newport. The location made it easy to explore Newport and Waldport, and the beach nearby was perfect for exercising the dog and stretching my legs with a walk on the beach. Nice place; nothing fancy but just the right size and location.

Homey with a great view and access to the magnificent ocean
Excellent for people and dogs with a fenced back yard and a patio in front with a picnic table and view of the sunset. Rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen had every handy gadget (except tea - bring your own). Cross the street for beach access and walk around town as well. We loved it!

Suggestions
The light in the dining room needs replaced - acting as a strobe light. We did disconnect, but reconnected before we checked out. Outlet next to couch doesn't work (left of the couch) Online and the book indicates there were two beds in one of the bedrooms - only one. The futon in the living room is horrible to sleep on. Realize that marijuana is legal, but the smell from the people above us made it very difficult to enjoy being out on the front patio. What does charge for maid service cover? Seems like we are required to do what a maid service is being paid to do (strip beds, sweep (even if do not have dogs). The location is great! You might want to think about doing some painting, repairs and upgrading. Having the toilet paper holder held up with electrical tape is unappealing. The book and on-line needs some updating to reflect correct information.

Great view
The place has a great view and location to beach access. The place is older but in decent condition. Some outlets along the wall in living room did not work and the remotes to cooling system and tv did not work as well. Overall it was a nice stay.

Great rental, we hope to stay again!
Easy to find, across the street from beach access. Clean, updated, laminate floors, roomy. Perfect with our dog. Backdoor access to yard. The only downside: upstairs renters can be heard walking, showering, etc. Minor inconvenience for the accommodations.

Great 3 days in Newport, OR!
Our group was a family group - young and old. As to the apartment in general, a bit outdated, but we were very comfortable. During our 3 days here, whales were visible any time we looked out our front window! The location is ideal to walkers, close to restaurants, Nye Beach shops and even a park nearby for kids. Beach access across the street is not for the faint of heart (99 steps!), but easier access is a block or so up the street near Donald Davis Park.

Great for dogs; bring your noise canceling headphones
Pros: conveniently located close to everything in Newport. Clean. Well-appointed, pretty much everything you could want in the kitchen and lots of extra towels, blankets, and pillows. Beach access pretty good although you do have to cross the street. The fenced back yard is a huge plus for dogs; we have an older dog who needs to go out during the night so it was really nice not to have to get dressed and leash her up. There is a view of the ocean, but not fabulous. It's across the street with parked cars in between and between 2 hotels. But you do get to see the ocean. Cons: the appliances are really old, and the fridge is noisy. I could more or less filter it out but my husband couldn't really stand to be in the living room. The people in the upstairs unit weren't playing loud music or cranking up the TV, but you can hear every footstep, toilet flush, shower etc. The cleanup requests for checkout seemed excessive. They ask you to empty all the garbage; wash all the towels and put them in the dryer; and strip the beds and put the sheets in the wash. That seems like a lot to ask considering that we paid over [VRBO will not permit me to disclose] a night including a [VRBO will not permit me to disclose amount] cleaning fee. Not really fun to spend the last hour of your beach weekend cleaning up.

If you like busy streets, noise, and a parking lot as the view.
The pictures are deceiving. This front picture looks like you are ON the beach. Fine print gets you to the "oh, it's across the street". And folks who say the view is great? We woke up to a truck parked legally right in the way. No view at all. And, in order to see this pretty on-the-beach view we had to cross a busy street, walk through a giant hotel's parking lot (that's the main view), and walk down countless stairs. The place was damp, old, and felt like an old cheap hotel. I was embarrassed I had said to my entire family it was "on the beach". Would not return or recommend. Heck, you'd have a better view and furniture at the hotel!

We decided to stay four nights on the ocean. Beautiful view and centrally located to down by beach and bay. Unit was dated overall nice. Had a few issues and they were very responsive and took care of most of them. Thanks for the place to stay.
