After a day spent at the Oregon Coast Aquarium across the bridge or wandering through Newport's bayfront attractions, you'll appreciate being able to come home to your comfortable, well-stocked condo at the Embarcadero. Lounge on the sofa in front of the woodstove to talk about the day or watch a DVD on the cable TV sharing a big bowl of popcorn. From the living room, you'll also have beautiful bay views - if it's nice out, you'll want to enjoy the stunning view right from your deck. Right nearby there's also hiking and biking opportunities - one of the most notable being Yaquina Head Outstanding National Area. You can take a deep sea fishing excursion through Newport Tradewinds, located right along the bayfront. Or, go razor clamming on Newport's Agate Beach or beachcombing at Beverly Beach.

This room is very outdated. Wallpaper is peeling and molding, carpets are really stained, dishwasher leaked water all over the floor and the recliner chairs were broken and smelly. Was hard to prepare meals for my family with only 2 small pans to cook with. The view was absolutely amazing and location to crabbing dock was great.

This unit has a fantastic view of Yaquina Bay! Inside is fairly dated and could use some remodel work. If you plan to cook, bring your own pots/pans as there are only two tiny egg size pans. Otherwise it’s location location here. Also, Embarcadero currently has no bar or grill open. Tragic.

Disappointing Honeymoon Stay
The condo was very outdated and moldy smelling. The wall paper in the kitchen was peeling off the walls. The strip that goes on the floor upstairs in the bathroom wasn't even nailed down and we couldn't even shut the bathroom door. When i got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom i tripped over the strip and ended up with a nail in my foot. There was a light burned out in the parking lot and my husband ended up tripping over a huge rock that was in the median and jacked up his knee. We did file and incident report but he spent the whole trip hobbling around. But the worst part was the way the check in lady treated us when she found out that we were not "owners" and had booked through a second site. She was very rude and abrupt to me and my husband. All in all it was a very disappointing trip (and it was our honeymoon) 😡 we probably wont stay there again and will find somewhere else to spend our money.

When you enter this dilapidated property your greeted by a sign when you open the door that says "please remove your shoes" that would be great if you weren't worried about your feet touching the disgusting carpets in both bedrooms. My wife and i dont remember staying in a dirtier more run down property EVER. I can't believe the owners and Vacasa think this is OK but they must. We tool pics of wall paper peeling off, mold in tubs, incredibly filthy carpets, dirty pots and pans, food in stove cupboard, spiders crawling on our suitcase on and on. Bring your own TV remotes theres dont turn on either TV but when you do manual turn them on the volume button on remote works. I will leave with when you pull up the 30 or 40 year old mini blinds the view is great.

The Embarcadero Resort is well known & highly recommended. This rental is very dated & substandard.
Interior paint old and wallpaper very dated. Microwave oven at least 25 years old. Dishwasher door broken and will not close properly, down stairs toilet plugged up and/or would not shut off multiple times in 4 day stay. Ceiling in living room hall has water damage with plaster peeling. The living room window shades are badly torn and unraveled so badly the slats fall out. All bathroom fixtures are original “gold” plated and very much damaged, scratched and corroded. Light fixtures missing on deck. Cobwebs in skylights. TVs allure date smart TVs. Lighting very poor and very dated. This unit I believe is well below VRBO standards. Would not recommend to anyone.

The unit was not cleaned to VRBO standards
I stay at VRBO properties exclusively and did not see that this was booked through VRBO but was a VACASA managed property. On arrival, I retrieved the key cards from the lock but neither of them worked. I called the Vacasa help line and after freezing for 10 minutes at the door as the dude walked me through how to use a keycard as though I was stupid, he advised that I needed to go to the front desk of the resort and get new key cards. On the surface, aside from the floors that couldn’t have been cleaners in months, the unit looked clean. However there were towels folded in the vanity appearing as clean that were not, the coffee pot carafe was cracked and broke when the hot coffee filled it, the shower door took two hands and all my might to close it and couldn’t be closed from inside the shower, the upstairs toilet flushes every other flush, aside from sheets, there was no bedding on the upstairs bed, the dishwasher was full from previous guests, there was 1/2 roll of paper towels and no dish towel or dish cloth. But back to the floors. The kitchen floor was so dirty our feet stuck to it. I cleaned it with paper towels and dish soap. The bedroom carpets were beyond disgusting. We read a couple reviews that carpets were gross but thought they just meant because they were ugly blue indoor/outdoor carpets in the “walkthrough” video. But the photos looked to have updated flooring. No, the bedroom carpets were filthy. Un cleaned pet urine, pet vomit? Other crisp crunchy spots

Condo was as advertised. Roomy for family of 4. Upstairs bed is VERY hard, not conducive for restful sleep. Wallpaper is pealing and stained, blinds downstairs are broken and would not open to the wonderful view of the bay. Little love and it could be exceptional. Close to the bay front shopping area. View was amazing!

The property was good. Very comfortable. Great location. My only disappointment was when we wanted to extend our stay I had to go through the site and I was going to have to pay the cleaning & booking fee again, so I didn't book. I went to a hotel for our extended 3 days that we added to our trip.

The main reason for booking this condo was for the private crabbing dock but they don't bother to tell you they close at 11 PM right when the crabbing starts to get good so kind of a joke if the dock was open 24 hours A-day I would definitely stay there again just for the crab and not the room beds were horrible And room was not very clean

Amazing Views, Serious Need for Update
The view is spectacular for sure. But the place was really rough. There were two different broken chairs, the desk chair upstairs and one of the deck chairs downstairs. Hard beds, old furniture, broken window shades. Stains all over carpet, sticky floors. Didn’t feel clean. We got a decent mid week rate, but I wouldn’t stay in this particular residence again.

I have stayed in this unit for the past 10 years but this could be my last. Carpet is gross. I was scared to take off my shoes and walk barefoot on it. Stair carpet was worse. Cobwebs from ceiling. Broken blinds and outdoor chair. About slipped in shower due to fact there was no non skid material on bottom of tub. Hair, not mine, in bathroom. Ice maker not working. Owner just needs to take some money and update it. Paying the amount that is charged a night is ridiculous for the conditions in the unit. Love the view and convenient location. But is it worth it??? Restaurant on site is the best.

Everything was absolutely Adequate. Towels, sheets, kitchen, all very clean. Lock box for checking in worked great. Everything is original as far as decor. Downstairs mattress needs replacement, caves in and very soft, but clean!

location is awesome, the condo needs to be brought into this decade though... looks like 1983 inside..... and needs some major up keep. carpet needs replaced and all the wall paper is peeling. bath fan timers don't work, and window blinds need replaced. outside deck chairs should be replaced with something without cloth on them as the sun/weather have taken it's toll on them. with some renovation it could really be an awesome place.

The house is definitely lacking updates, but the overall condo is well maintained and clean. There were plenty of pots and pans, dishware, etc in the kitchen. There is NO microwave, but there is a coffee pot and toaster. The view is lovely. The check in/out process went fine.

Great location and the view of the bay is terrific
Bed was comfortable ,kitchen and bathroom were clean and fine, except that when using the restroom downstairs the toilet would plug up. The showerhead downstairs was barely working and needs repair and probably needs replaced . The carpet was old and very dirty. There were numerous spots, bleach spots and obvious spots where they had attempted to clean certain things on the carpet upstairs and downstairs and there was dog hair on the comforter and extra blanket. Some of blinds were broken and the chairs on the patio downstairs were splitting apart. One of the recliners would not recline. We had a great time and visit with family however the accommodations truly need revamping and a thorough clean. Well we had a great time with family and friends and love the location we were very uncomfortable with the lack of cleanliness overall of the units and the main issue being the carpet.

Disappointing, worn-out unit
Embarcadero #225 was extremely disappointing. We arrived after check in time to find our cards did not work and had to get them reconfigured at the reception desk. Upon entering we were shocked at the condition of the unit! These condos were built in 1975 and this unit has NEVER been updated for almost 50 years. I felt like I was in a time warp! The front door handle was loose and appeared broken and difficult to shut completely, the entry parquet flooring was water stained, the carpet was extensively soiled and had bleach stains throughout on both levels. The two recliner chairs were just as old and disgusting! We had to use a sheet for a throw because of the unknown dust mites etc in the dirty fabric. We found a child's toy and bits of paper under the coffee table so wondered if the place had been thoroughly vacuumed? Old venetian blinds, the one on the downstairs patio door is in need of repair. After finally getting it pulled up, I noticed fingerprints that were not cleaned off the glass. The downstairs bed needs to be replaced ASAP. It is literally broken on one side and the mattress is caved in and the bed makes a loud noise when you sit on that side. The upstairs mattress is acceptable if you can sleep on a very hard bed. Beds are both at least 20+ years old or maybe the originals! The most concerning thing was the upstairs windows facing the upper patio deck. Two have lost their seals and are fogged with water, so no view from those windows! Also one of them is ready to fall out! During a storm one night I could literally feel the wind coming in the window and the following day I had to push it back in from the outside! Some moldy caulking around the upstairs bathtub, but essentially the bathrooms and kitchen appeared clean. The white bath towels were so old, rough and every shade of brown. Bathroom rugs were stained and very worn out. This unit is extremely tired. I regret I didn't do my homework and research this unit online. I have found these very same complaints over a year ago and nothing was done to resolve these issues. This unit really should be taken off the market until all of these issues are addressed with management.
