Hotel Management is rude, lying and not friendly to customers. Food is not good compar d to other Ayurveda resorts. Seevice staff is not trained and unfriendly. Had to check out after two days and move to new hotel so vacation is not spoiled by staff attitude. Will never come back for sure.

A lovely rustic hotel with excellent Ayurveda staff and therapies. The staff cannot do enough for you and the service was great! Would definitely go back!

Nice relaxing stay. We booked a garden villa and arrived on a taxi prebookked with the hotel. Room was spacious (though probably our cabin was larger than usual as it had an adjacent sitting lounge) although a bit dark. Large bathroom with toiletries and basic hairdryer. Premises are nice including gardens, swimming pool and a few hammocks. Note that garden cabins don't have hammocks. Tv and Internet connection worked fine. Electricity was interrupted occasionally by no more than 5 min. A fan in the room was enough to keep us cool -no need for A/C. The entertainment programme (each night at 7:30) was quite pleasant. Food was very good (both buffet and a la carte) but mainly vegetarian. Staff were quite attentive and plenty seating spaces both facing garden and sea views. Location is right by the beach (which had a rough sea so don't expect to swim there). Free sun beds and towels provided. Other than that there's not much around, though I would recommend the music shop out of the hotel ( top of the steep hill) Overall a relaxing stay.

Lovely beach hotel
We booked for 5 day's, I wish we could have booked for longer, the whole experience was so relaxing. Our cottage had a sea view so we fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Parveen, the housekeeping supervisor, who would check daily that everything was okay and sort out the smallest problem straightaway.

Great service from very attentive staff. All the clinicians and therapists are excellent and caring. The property gardens and landscapes are beautifully designed and well maintained. The beach is clean and very close to the resort so we enjoyed early morning and late evening walks on the beach.

I had a great time at Manaltheeram Beach Resort. They made my stay a remarkable one. The staff were very nice and very attentive. The manager was excellent. In general, good hotel with great people. I'd stay there again.

Chilling on the beach
This property is very beautiful, but somewhat remote. The huts do not have A/C, but the fan and the ocean breeze meant this was not a problem. The grounds are situated in a palm tree grove on a cliff top over looking a secluded endless beach. If your looking for a place to totally relax and spend hours in a hammock listening to the waves crash on the beach, this is the place. You can get a taxi to take you to the tourist areas in town for dinner and shopping, for around 700 round trip with wait time included. We enjoyed my stay. Only complaint was that our stay ended too soon.

Very nice ayurveda resort
Very nice ayurveda resort is located only few steps from the beach. Peasfull & relaxing place for the rest. Reseption & restaurant staff is extremely helpfull. Good choice of dishes all marked for differet types like vata, pita & capa. Breakfast & buffet are vegiterian, but menu a la cart with sea food, fish and chiken. The only opportunity are: they need to change their antique towels to new one :-).

Lovely, but doesn't match description
First, let me say that I enjoyed my stay, and plan to visit again next year. But let me point out that the room amenities don't match the Expedia description at all. The bed is not a Sleep Number (by a long shot); there is no separate living room or dining area; there is no bathtub of any kind; no washer/dryer; no sofa bed. Turns out I didn't really need any of these things, but they could spare the guest some initial disappointment by describing the rooms accurately. Furthermore, I booked a special cottage - which according to their literature is supposed to have a sea view - and don't think I got one. The best thing about this resort is its focus on customer service. It's the best you'll find in India, outside of five-star hotels. Next to that, location is wonderful - on a small cliff above the ocean - not a problem at all to walk down (or even back up). The huts are nice. Overall, the ambience is perfect: quiet, healthy, and happy. What this place really needs though is a bar. Alcohol isn't served at the resort, which is fine, but why not a shaded place to sip on healthy emulsions or tasty mocktails? This would have improved my experience greatly. I had to take a cab to Kovalam in order to get a good cold drink.

Fantastic hotel in Kerala
I think the hotel has already a long reputation that says all. Hotel is overlooking a private beach, but the whole beach stretch also extends a lot further. Went in October and didn't feel it was much crowded. Bungalow and the whole setting are nice, I would recommend getting an intermediate price one, the cheapest looked a bit small. Hotel staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Surroundings are not great, a long small road to the main road in slope, with few cheap tourist shops. Therefore the hotel staff was really helpful to book cabs for 4~5 hours per day to go to the nearby spots/cities. Highly recommended.

We expected a lot from the Resort but were disappointed. The room had no air conditioning but a ceiling fan just above the bed. its ok if you are lying down on the bed all the time. No tea/coffee making facilities and we had to go to the restaurant even for a cup of tea and wait for a long time. restaurant staff are inefficient except for on or two members. There were so called supervisors/ managers walking around the restaurant area but were equally useless. We had to wait for food to be replenished, coffee cups/ soup bowls, tea spoons to mention a few were readily available and had to be requested for. Food is not good, a la carte is bit better. I think they are hiding behind the Ayurveda and healthy food and in fact saving on the food. Generally tasteless food. Only good to say about the place is that the reception staff were helpful and prompt in arranging the transport etc.
