Lack of communication when problems arise
We stayed here for a long weekend to visit family, and the space was sufficient for our group. I especially appreciated the two full bathrooms and the fact that the home was well-stocked with essentials like extra blankets and pillows. One of the main reasons we chose this property was the outdoor setup. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the fireplace to work, and despite reaching out to the host, we received no response. We also had an unexpected visit from a raccoon in the backyard. While we enjoyed the home overall, the lack of communication from the host when we needed assistance is a concern. Because of this, we’ll likely explore other options when we return in the spring.

Total horrible misrepresentation!
Horrible Experience!! Where to start… The plumbing lines were backing up barely could flush one toilet. Linens lacking.. no wash cloths, hand towels were dust towels. Carpet was dirty and the toilets were backing up sewer gas. Forget contacting the host she barely responded to VRBO. Stay away from VRBO and this place!!

Navy son visit
Went to visit our son in the Navy before his deployment. House was very nice and comfortable. We made great use of the kitchen and outdoor grill. Was nice being only one block from the beach. Would stay again if we head back up to the area.

Great location with minor problems
Overall we loved staying here but the kitchen wasn't stocked with anything (like cooking spray), the stove was broken, and there were ants all over the kitchen which ruined some food. The backyard was great, and beds comfy, except for the twins. The kids said the beds were too hard to sleep on

Perfect family vacation house!
This house was great for our family! The kids enjoyed the foosball table and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax. The walk to the beach is really quick!

Little gem!
We decided to make an ODU orientation into a quick beach vacation and were pleased with the Beach Bungalow! My husband, three of my adult daughters and myself stayed in the house comfortably. Another adult daughter and her boyfriend spent a day with us and we had plenty of room! The walk to the beach was short and convenient. We made a quick walk to a local coffee shop too!! The decor was updated and modern. The outdoor space is amazing but is was too blisteringly hot for us to use it this trip. Next time!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this location. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the kitchen had pretty much all we needed to make meals. We appreciated being able to use the beach cart to lug our chairs and fishing gear to the beach. I personally enjoyed quiet mornings sipping coffee on the porch, or working out under the pergola in the back yard. It was really great to be within walking distance of the beach, of the grocery store and to some restaurants. The cons for us personally were that the beds are low (my dad was travelling with us and he has some mobility issues, so he had a hard time getting out of bed), and that the tv did not have "normal" cable, and it was mounted at the ceiling in the living room (so we found it uncomfortable to watch, and the smart tv was too challenging for my technologically inept dad to use). So the cons were really due to our personal circumstances. It's hard for Canadians to not be able to watch hockey while on vacation lol.

We were at a different location than we originally booked. I am not sure how to rate the place shown since we weren't there. The alternative home we did stay in was very nice, on the beach and easy to get to everywhere.

Cute house for a quick getaway
The host was very responsive and accommodating. The house is much larger than it looks from the street. If you drive a larger car, the parking can be a bit of an issue. We parked our SUV on the street. My only complaint would be with the towels. They were microfiber and definitely left you feeling wet... if this would be an issue for you, I would recommend bringing your own. Otherwise, this property is close to the beach, close to a grocery store, and several restaurants -- and it is listed for a fair price.

The property is within easy walking distance to a walkable beach. It was quiet. The mattresses were comfortable. It was in need of a good "spring cleaning". Lacked good towels and had some animal odor in one area. The gas was empty so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor fire area. I did not report this to the owner as there wasn't time to fix it for us to enjoy it. I did correspond with her about something else and she was responsive.

Awesomely beautiful and cozy cottage
This is the perfect little get away close to the beach and pier with all of the amenities that you could ever need it made our stay in Norfolk as close to perfect as you can get. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would love to stay there again
