Questioned about service dog
Hotel looks nice and overall stay was good. The room smelled funny maybe moldy and hallway smelled strongly of cleaner or air freshener. If traveling with a service dog they will illegally ask you for documentation and possibly still question you after providing it.

Nice new hotel with very friendly staff
The hotel looks new and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One drawback, it is next to the highway and that made it noisier.

Asheville downtown. Location near downtown but separated from downtown by freeway offramp. Not a problem for me byt sketchy for sure-dark and desolate. Room was clean. Front desk solid. TV was disconnected and no soap in shower.

Very clean and modern hotel within walking distance of downtown. Very convenient location for an Asheville trip, we were able to walk everywhere we needed to. Safe and secure hotel, with an extremely friendly front desk staff.

The staff was so welcoming, Richard was particularly accommodating. The one thing I did not understand was the $15 charge for parking in the garage below. Wish there had been more available above. All in all we will be back, no complaints.

Good place to stay
The hotel was clean and somewhat quiet. There was an highway exit on the side of the hotel we stayed on. The service at the front desk was wonderful, they helped me with directions to get downtown.

This is a great place to stay. Parking convenient, rooms are great, decent breakfast. Note: unless you are very bold, I would not walk to downtown from the hotel. Although it is true that Harrah’s and downtown Asheville is a 10-15 minute walk away, you have to cross several very busy streets. It is great for me as I am fit and don’t mind dodging cars! Otherwise, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are truly within easy walking distance. This is easily our favorite place to stay in downtown Asheville

TownePlace charges extra for parking when checking in, the provided breakfast was the worst I've ever experienced, the staff were nice enough and the bedroom was clean but nothing special.

Don't stay here! I paid for parking but there were no parking spots left at the hotel. I was directed to park at the dark abandoned gravel lot across the street. I asked for my parking fee back since the hotel didn't have enough parking spots for my car. I was told only the owner could authorize the refund and that he wouldn't because he "hears it all the time, and doesn't care".

Room was clean and staff were friendly. However, this property is located right off of the interstate surrounding a neighborhood. Parking was terrible, along with the $15 per night fee the parking lot is very small and crowded. i did not see the value of this hotel. I certainty wouldn’t stay here again.

Property and staff are wonderful! The rooms are really nice, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast offers many options and was delicious! We were in room 101 and it was loud from the street noise and trash pickup that morning. This is not something the hotel can control, just be aware if you stay in that room. I would definitely stay here again, but in a different room. GREAT PLACE to stay and walk to downtown.
