Newly Renovated Beachfront Estate w/ Pool, Privacy, Secluded Pink Beach

Stepping inside Tourmaline is escaping the world and entering your very own secluded paradise. As you enter the Great Room you will be awe-struck by the spectacular view that greets you through the three massive glass doors and the floor-to-ceiling native stone walls.

Your open-plan main living area links effortlessly with the expansive terrace over-looking the ocean below. Stop to enjoy the view from one of the many comfortable chairs and sofas or continue on into the large dining area with another huge patio door leading to the terrace and outdoor dining area. This bright room boasts huge windows on all sides offering more views of the ocean. The large pine dining table seats six.

The large gourmet kitchen boasts quartz counter tops with several great work areas, double stainless steel sinks, new appliances, water cooler and inside and under-cabinet lighting. The kitchen’s large windows overlook the gardens.

Just off the great room you will discover the main floor master bedroom with king-size bed, walk-in closet and sitting area, AC, ceiling fan, TV, night tables with 3-way reading lamps and private ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. Just outside the ensuite you will find your private side patio, laundry room and outdoor shower. Another massive glass door leads to your expansive terrace.

Also on the main floor is the nautical 3rd bedroom designed with kids in mind, but suitable for adults too. This room boasts a bunk bed (twin over queen), AC, small dresser, games and puzzles, reading lights, more ocean-view windows, and a door leading to the terrace.

Upstairs you will discover a 2nd Master Bedroom with spectacular ocean views from 3 large windows, king-size Bermuda bed, AC, ceiling fan, night stands with 3-way reading lamps and sitting area, along with a large bathroom with walk-in closet, glass shower and double sink vanity.

Begin your day gazing out over the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean from your expansive terrace high atop your private sand dune. Or, meander down to your deserted beach and let your toes sink into the soft pink sand. Note that Tourmaline is set on a dune above the beach. There are stairs and a path down to the beach.

Wander the shoreline stretching for miles in both directions. Don't be surprised if yours are the only footprints you see. Dip into the crystalline clear water and allow the soothing seawater wash away the worries of the world.

After breakfast don your snorkel and mask and explore the many coral reefs just off the beach. Then float in your expansive 16’x32’ infinity pool, nap under the palms in your seaside hammock or pack a picnic and head off to explore the countless spectacular beaches that line both sides of your island.

On your way home pick up the fresh catch of the day from the local fishermen, and freshly picked organic veggies from the local farmer. Sip cocktails while your catch sizzles on your gas grill. Or, book a seaside table at one of the fabulous nearby restaurants, only minutes from your door. Dance the night away swaying to the rhythm of island music.

Amenities include: air conditioning throughout; WiFi; TV(3) with Netflix and Storm Entertainment System; ceiling fans; baby grand Steinway piano; outdoor showers(3); back-up gas generator (no power failures to worry about!), 20/20 screens (to keep out even the tiniest no-see-ums); gas grill; pool floats; hammock; beach chairs and cooler. We also have a pack and play crib should you need one.

Not worth the $
We stayed at the house next door a couple years ago and decided to try this one because it was being renovated and had a bigger pool. The pool was really the best part of the property. The house itself needs help. Bugs indoors everywhere. Alive on the ceiling, dead in the floor. Crawling on you at night. And no, we did not leave doors and windows open. Good luck in the kitchen. Very basic items but the rest is a mix and match hodge podge. It needs going through badly. It’s mostly junk. Dishwasher doesn’t clean the dishes. Top rack does not come out. Kitchen chairs are worn out and rickety. Same with bedside tables. Washing machine is outside and smells - front load that never has been aired out. Living room furniture is very old and it shows. For the money you get a nice pool that is a quick 30 second walk from the house and decent views but not as good as the house next door. Glass vs concrete on the deck and better trimming of landscape. Property managers were great as always. Pam and Tenille are always there for you. For the price point however, this house seriously misses the mark.

Gorgeous property!
The house and its location is top notch all around. The beach is gorgeous and we had it all to ourselves most of the time. The house is close to Governor’s Harbor and the center of the island which makes it easy to do excursions at the North end or the South end of the island. We enjoyed every second of our vacation here. Highly recommend this house!

Great Vacation House
House is very nice - also quite remote feeling but not far from restaurants and Governor’s Harbor. The beach is beautiful! Tenielle was a wonderful host! The only thing that could use repair is the long driveway. However, it is like many driveways on Eleuthera so I think you just have to expect it (but don’t be surprised as it’s quite a bumpy road).

We were so happy to get back to Eleuthra! Our accommodations and stay were beyond perfect. Every minute was a dream for each of us The property manager was lovely and very helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the home exquisite - right down to picking our own watermelon between the house and pool. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience - we hope to be back one day!!

Fantastic home and location
We were very pleased with our stay. The view is fabulous as is the beach itself. Everything worked properly in the house, kitchen well equipped, very comfortable beds and AC worked well. (The AC and beds are peevs for me, so this was important). We enjoyed the pool and area to grill. The house had a cooler and beach chairs so you to take while exploring the island each day. Tennelle was available if needed, but also didn’t bother us. she was very friendly. Highly recommend this rental. I’d definitely stay there again.

Overall a bit disappointing. House needs some renovations to bring it up to date. Very small second bedroom downstairs, not really suitable for adult. Pool lovely, but could do with a pathway from house. Electric did go off and backup generator did not work, without power for approx 45 minutes. Walk down to beach not suitable for elderly ,disabled or if you have leg, knee problems. Where not met by caretaker on arrival. As I say a bit disappointed.

Remote getaway
We had an amazing week! This house is perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids (due to bunk beds). Beautiful ocean view from every room, including the bathroom. An SUV is a must to get to this property. And be sure to write down the directions from the airport as you won't get phone reception or google. But the beaches are just paradise! Turn at Miss Ruby's and go back to the title pool for a fun activity. Or go left out the drive area and go down to South Palmetto Point to the floating islands (like in Thailand). Levon Levy is much larger than expected - nice walk. People were all so friendly. Only slight negative is the price of the food. We ate at Tippy's, Buckaneers, and bought some groceries. Creamer was $15! Last day a fella showed up w/ a grouper and offered to cook it for us. We all wished he showed earlier in the week. We got 5 gal bottles of water at the grocery store in town for $6. Same place we went for our COVID tests before we left. If you need Rest and Relaxation, this is the place!

Excellent location very relaxing place highly recommend
The location of this property and the view of the ocean is like no other. The property was beautifully maintained, very clean, and everything functioning properly. The only thing was minimal internet which is an island issue and really didn't matter to us at all. We specifically chose an out island area for this very reason. The beach was great! We spent a total of 40+ hours on the beach only seeing two other people our entire 12 day stay. The dogs enjoyed being able to free roam around the yard as well. We hired Miss Brenda Demeritte and her husband Patrick to do all of our grocery shopping and prepare meals for us. The food was excellent!! We only ate out two other times during our entire 12-day stay.

Great Place to Escape
We chose Tourmaline for our family vacation and enjoyed every minute of it. This private property has great beach access, perfect views, and all the amenities. The central location on the island and proximity to Governor’s Harbor was also a great benefit for site seeing, shopping, and dining. We highly recommend Tourmaline.

Best Vacation of our Lives!
Our family of 5 was lucky enough to experience Tourmaline and the beautiful island of Eleuthera early March 2020 (before the world shut down). It was one of our most favorite vacations we have ever taken. Getting there is seamless. Tourmaline is in the middle of the island we were glad we flew into North Eleuthera (we had a car waiting for us, a must so you can explore!) as we enjoyed every minute of the beautiful hour long drive to Governor's Harbour and Tourmaline. You'll pass over Glass Window Bridge, which is where the Carribean and Atlantic meet and is breathtaking. Do your research, as this bridge does close when the seas and winds are strong. Tourmaline is perfectly situated right on the ocean side and every night we slept with windows open and enjoyed the sound of the surf below. The house itself was perfect for our family of 5. The lasagna and wine, compliments of the host, the first night, were delicious and such a welcome treat after a day of travel with 3 kids (8, 11 and 13). The housekeepers, the groundskeepers, Shirley, Pam and Perry and everyone at Tourmaline truly went out of their way to make our stay a super special one. Our kids loved the pool in the afternoons after a day of beaching and exploring. The house is perfectly situated on one of the prettiest stretches of beaches on the Atlantic side and its right in the middle of the island. We explored beaches from the southern tip to the northern tip. There are tons of options for groceries, and restaurnants nearby as well. Here are a list of our favorites: Beaches: Lighthouse Beach (Southern tip). James Cistern (In Hatchet Bay Cave) and Twin Sisters Beach for good shells and snorkeling. If the tides are right stop at Queens Baths across from Twin Sisters. Surfers Beach for big waves and surf if that is your thing. Ten Bay beach and Alabaster/Receivers Beach are beautiful Carribean beaches for snorkling and close to the house. Beach right in front of house was one of our favorites though! Go at low tide and walk to the left past the rocks. For groceries, Rock Sound market, Midway Cost Cutters were our favs. Island Farms (Tues and Fri fresh baked goods) or Bacchus for produce and wine. Don't miss Tippys, Buccaneers, Bougainvillea. All these places have live music various nights. We dressed up one night and went to 1648 at French Leave and it was wonderful too. Da Perk great for coffee and lunch. To-do, rent boat through Captain Kidd and explore nearby islands! All incredible!

Spectacular Property!! We will be back.
This property is situated on 11 acres that provide the ultimate privacy if that is what you are looking for. The house sits about 50 ft. above the water on a slight ridge that provides incredible views across the island and up and down the beach. The grounds are landscaped and well maintained. We arrived a couple hours before checkin and were greeted by Perry. The house was still being cleaned but we were allowed to bring our luggage into the home, change our clothes and head over to the pool until they were ready for us. During our stay we explored the island from one end to the other. For us Tourmaline offered the best location, most attractive home, privacy, on the beach, close to Governors Harbor and would not recommend staying anywhere else on Eleuthera.

Beautiful, well-equipped, and carefully tended.
Tourmaline is high on a hill overlooking the Atlantic giving every window and the deck fabulous views. The house is comfortable and decorated with white furniture and bright colored accents. Every cozy chair and couch has an adjoining lamp. The access to the beach is a steep climb but well worth the effort. There are not many houses on this stretch of beach so we were often alone enjoying the pink sand and turquoise water. There are two lovely bedrooms adequate for adults and one that is better suited for small children. It is very small with bunk beds. The kitchen is large with plenty of counter space. It is very well-equipped. We had a wonderful vacation at Tourmaline!

Best View EVER!
Tourmaline was a spectacular place to stay. For us, the up high view of the gorgeous water was stunning. The roar of the ocean puts you to sleep each night. The beach in front is super nice, but we walked about 1/2 mile North just past some rocks and the lack of coral in the water made it great for riding the surf. Many nights you could see the cruise ships passing and it brought back great memories for us as cruisers. We were all over the island from North to South and the Atlantic side has it for view and sandy beaches. The Caribbean side is more rock than sand. Harbor Island has a great beach near Sip Sip restaurant, but they don't have the higher elevation like Tourmaline. If you love that turquoise and blue view of the water, this is the place.
