Beautiful location and awesome staff!
Beautiful location. Very cute room with a comfy bed. Great breakfast in the morning: continentsl and made to order menu. Extremely nice staff and near to numerours restaurants and co op market. Great proximity to Belvior Castle for a Spartan race weekend. We will definitely stay again.

A wonderful experience
From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a quirky, family run small hotel and great value for money. While there are some areas that could do with a refresh, the room we had was beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable.we dined in the on site Chinese restaurant which was first class and great value, the quantity of the portions defeated us! Relaxing in the remarkable well stocked bar afterwards, again the staff were friendly and attentive, and prices very reasonable. It was so welcoming and comfortable we stayed all evening. Our bed was comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. Breakfast (included)the next morning was lovely, and the most generous portions I have ever had in a hotel, leaving me struggling to eat it all (I managed!) and the bacon, sausages and hash browns were, again, the best I've had in a hotel! I can't praise this place enough, especially at the prices charged!!

I can stay the vast majority of the Hotel looks beautiful, modern decoration, restaurant something else its lavish and extremely well done, everywhere clean and tidy, staff very friendly and helpful. Bedding and linen fresh and clean, in room facilities excellent, ample drinks supplied fresh filtered water easily available. Well worth it, will look to book again

We expected the restaurant to be open, but it wasn't. The bed was uncomfortable and worn out. Everything looked tired and bits of DIY work looked very amateurish. Staff were very nice and breakfast was good, so a mixed bag really. Not sure we would stay again because of the uncomfortable bed.

Check if meals are being served in the evening!
Given a key to room 6 - someone already in there. Noticed a small double bed with a dip in the middle! Stood waiting while they tried to sort it out - they told to go into the bar until it was sorted as fully booked. No offer of a drink while we waited. Eventually given a key to. No9. Bigger bed! Later lady came to offer the use of the lounge after we got back from dining out to include free drinks! On our return lounge was closed up, girl came out. I asked if the bar was closed and told yes!!!……. So no drinks! Very slow service at breakfast. Had to chase up porridge order. Husband had nearly finished his cooked breakfast before the porridge arrived, tried to get some fruit salad empty! They did bring me some. but no one offered to take my order for a hot breakfast. Where we sat by a partition with plants - ledge was covered in dust. I’d driven five hours to go to a family funeral. Didn’t expect that!

We had a restful night stay in a good-sized twin room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Room had the usual facilities, tea/coffee, water was available from a water cooler and a hairdryer. Good selection at breakfast, can recommend the bacon and sausages. Staff were informative and accommodated a special request. We would return, next time we are in the area.
