We stay at several different RIUs from Cabo to Cancun. We were disappointed with the food, which was very good in the past and our bedding was old and needed replaced. One of the sheets had a hole and a bed cover. The heavy extra blanket I used had the edging torn loose and you could stick your fist thru it. The cafeteria had mostly the same food daily. The Italian restaurant is always a favorite of the wife and neither of us were impressed. Won’t go to that RIU again. The Vallarta’s just down the road and they do a much better job. We are headed to Los Americas in January and if it any better, we will look for a different chain to try.

Love the RIU. 2nd stay there. The staff is so friendly. Love the beach just feet from leaving the nice rooms. Lobby bar always a fun hang. Bartenders and everyone working there are the best people. Food options are great. Love everything about the RIU. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to try an all-inclusive resort. My only advice is, be kind and don't be cheap with your servers! A couple of bucks goes a long way.

Very nice. The property is super clean and Recently remodeled. This is the nicest RIU we’ve stayed at. Loved the adult only atmosphere. Steak restaurant was great. Buffet was average. Loved the sports bar. Rooms were nice and very clean, best of all the bed was super comfortable. This property was a bit small than the RIU in Cabo which we liked. You are closer to everything at the resort. Lobby area in the evening was nice with specialty cocktail cart every night. Definitely would recommend this resort.

The newly renovated Riu is gorgeous. You can easily get a drink at a bar and you are greeted with a smile. We always feel safe, walking down the beach and running on the path in front of the hotel. It’s fun to get a massage on the beach. We like Heather’s food near the pool so you don’t have to completely dry off and go to the buffet if you don’t want to. The nightly buffets had really good food.

First off, we had the best service every by Kristel in the coffee shop. She was so unbelievably friendly and she really helped make our experience! The property was very clean, I found the caliber of food far superior compared to many other all inclusives that I've been to and everything was updated as they renovated in the last year or so. Only pieces of feedback is that we did wish the pool was actually cooled, it was between 33 and 34 degrees outside while we were there and the pool was the same temperature as the air, not quite as refreshing as we would have hoped. They also did not have any umbrellas at the beach for the people that weren't in the exclusive club. And finally, their nighttime shows start a bit later, I believe around 9 pm and the volume is so loud we heard it from our room the entire 1.5 hours the show was happening. Also just a flag that you won't really be able to walk to a ton from the resort but it was still great and we loved our time there. Will definitely be back!

This kind of resorts are for honeymooners or group. I traveled solo. There were not enough activities to keep busy all day. I had to ask the housekeeping staff to bring water and have coffee for the coffee maker. They keep adding to the instant coffee. The day before my departure I’ll asked the housekeeping staff to place a coffee pack for me. She said in 5 minutes. When I returned to my room that evening I did no have coffee for the coffee maker. I called the customer service desk and explained the whole story. The man who answered said, “it is too late now I will put the request for the morning staff. They will bring it at 7:00 am.” This did not happen.
