Very convenient on the main road through town. But there is some traffic noise. Also on the last night I was there some other guests were making lots of noise and yelling and banging in their room on the floor above me.

The smells... my room smelled like someone cooked gried food. Outside had an odd pungent smell when the wind blew a certain direction. My bathroom floor was sticky. I didn't feel comfortable asking housekeeping to clean again so i did it myself. Floor was very dirty. The front desk and breakfast staff was wonderful! Each staff member i ran across was very kind and greeted me with a smile and kind word. Breakfast was okay.

The location is perfect as a jumping off point for Deception Pass State Park, kayaking there, and whale watching from Anacortes marina. I don't know why anyone would stay anywhere else. The place is clean and staff are competent and gracious.

There was a slight mix up w the reservation. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk, the manager went above and beyond to rectify the issue and upgraded our room at no additional charge We prefer to stay at Best Western's, our experience and way we are treated are usually top notch.

Horrible Place to stay.
This property is outdated. The prices that are being charged a night this place isn't worth it. Mattress on bed was lumpy & horrible. Shower wallpaper was peeling. Mirror was dirty that was on bathroom door. When arriving the front desk was rude & acted like she didn't want to be there. I will not stay there again.

Way over priced for what you get. The pool is much smaller than pictured. Room was clean but the bed is very firm and uncomfortable. Any noise going on in the halls and the other rooms you can hear easily. Continental breakfast was nice but one of the workers was very rude to me at the buffet. Also there is a nasty smell of manure outside the hotel, not pleasant at all. Expected better for the price I paid…

We only stayed overnight, so I can't say a lot, but my room was quiet and clean - I have no complaints about it. The night clerk who checked us in was helpful - I appreciated that he could give me a couple of complementary Advil pills when I asked for something for pain relief. (I'd hurt my foot while hiking.) Also, in the morning, a staff member opened up the board room for my party of 5 when I told him that none of the tables in the breakfast room were big enough to accommodate us. We appreciated that gesture. My only complaint is the same for almost all hotels - the scrambled eggs were way too salty. I was glad to replace them with plain hard-boiled eggs, which were also available in the breakfast room.

The carpets leave a black stain on your feet after walking in them in the room. The pool is great for kids learning to swim with the ramp!

Everything was great except the alarm in my room went off at 6:15 am and woke me up early. I didn’t get much sleep and was tired all day because of this. I really wish the staff would make sure the alarms are off.
