Stunning water views of the Connetquot River. Located in the “Idle Hour” section of Oakdale (originally created by Alva & William Vanderbilt in 1878). All six bedrooms have amazing views. The home is a close distance by paddle board down the river from the stately Vanderbilt mansion.

The house has a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 2 surfboards (take to Fire Island!), dock for your boat (or a rental boat), peaceful views from almost every room! Beautiful and comfortable him

From the moment you pull up, you’ll want to stay longer. The home is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well appointed. It easily handled our family of 8-10 with zero issues. The views are to die for, and the back deck will be your new favorite place for morning coffee or sunset meals. The owner was helpful, and easy to work with. We will return again if we can!
