The space
This cozy cabin built in 1963 is the perfect home-base for a Deep Creek Lake getaway with family, friends or couples. Conveniently located on the main thruway from Oakland to McHenry, you can get anywhere from dining to skiing in about 15 minutes. If you're looking for a quiet mountain escape or you are bothered by road noise, this might not be your ideal stay, but surrounded by forest and mountains, there are still plenty of peaceful moments.

Relax and unwind in any of the indoor or outdoor living spaces after a day of hiking, skiing or swimming. Enjoy s'mores by the fire pit, barbeque dinner on the built-in grill on the patio or find your favorite movie on one of 3 HDTVs. Pick out a book to read by the picture window in the living room, pull out a puzzle or challenge your friends to a classic arcade game or foosball in the basement.

When it's time for bed, choose from one of three bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen and 4x twin), all equipped with blackout curtains and memory foam mattresses for maximum comfort. The primary bedroom features a king bed with a smart TV and an en suite half bath.

The fully-equipped kitchen comes with all your basic cooking and grilling utensils as well as s'mores skewers, an antique milkshake maker, Brita, toaster oven, microwave and oven. For your morning (or afternoon) coffee, choose from the Keurig with provided pods or the pour-over coffee pot with provided grounds. Sugar packets and assorted herbal and black teas are also available for your convenience.
