Really enjoyed staying here for 5 nights, breakfast every morning was superb and different each morning.Basic room but a very comfy bed and nice and quiet and close to ADO bus station. 10/10
Genuine Oaxaca Experience. Great comfort and cleanliness, with a super friendly and helpful staff, great small restaurant with local cooking on-site for wonderful breakfasts (included in cost), while offering an experience of life typical to how the locals live. Having lived in Oaxaca for 8 years some time ago, I would highly recommend this hotel as a convenient base for truly experiencing the city beyond what the typical tourist might. It was a great, nostalgic, and satisfying return visit to a place I love.
Casa lidia was perfect for our stay. It was a short walk into Centro in a really cute area. We were so comfortable in our room and slept really well. The hosts were very helpful and the daily breakfast was delicious! I had eggs with chorizo each day and it was yum!!
It was in a beautiful neighborhood with all the beautiful art on the walls . Safe, clean , and very quiet . 15 from downtown and 20 walking not bad . We walked everywhere, breakfast is different everyday and delicious.
Very nice staff, quaint neighborhood, cute room. Only down was guests aren’t given outdoor key (small family business) so it’s disruptive to wake staff up if you have a late night. Also depending on other guests, can be a little noisy. But overall excellent service, great location, fantastic breakfast & comfy room
We spent three weeks here and have nothing but good things to say. The location is easily walkable to the zocolo and the staff are terrific. The breakfasts are varied and delicious.
Very quiet place, which is often hard to find in Oaxaca. Located right in the middle of everything where you want to be in Jalatlaco. All the hotel staff were super nice. I met other guests, who have stayed there many times, a good sign — and I get it because it’s a very charming small hotel. Maybe the best part was the breakfast, which was prepared with such care and included in the cost of the room. Would definitely stay there again.
Cute little B&B not far from the center of town. Rooms are spacious, no AC but a fan was available in the room. Staff available 24 hrs to monitor the front door and they offered hailing a taxi for you if needed for transport. Breakfast was a small menu of Mexican comfort food, I enjoyed it :)
I enjoyed the conversations with Antonio. He was knowledgeable of the city of Oaxaca and provided good recommendations. Breakfast was delightful. Staff was courteous. I would stay at this location again.
The small property has 10 rooms. It’s common areas are nice and charming. We had room 6 which is right above the entrance so it was a bit noisy when people would arrive and bang on the door. It also has two skylights which illuminated the room at sunrise (you can ask to have them covered, but then the room is very dark). But you don’t really go to Oaxaca to stay in the room so we didn’t mind. Location is convenient to walk everywhere. Service staff was very nice and friendly.
This is a lovely little hotel in a great neighborhood (Jalatlaco) about a 10-15 minute walk from the center. It is very quiet, very clean, the beds are comfortable and the hosts were so nice and helpful. It is a modest hotel and has one small charming courtyard but is otherwise very simple. There is no airconditioning and it was very hot the week we were there, but we were fine on the cooler first floor with fans. Breakfast is available if you order the night before. Staying here is definitely a great value.
