The staff are very accommodating and quick to address your needs. It was very clean and quiet and the rooms are an excellent size! With buetiful views of the mountain and valley. It's does seem to be a bit ruff round the edges but like I say it's very clean and very well priced for the area. The only thing we didn't like was that the shower would be cold untill 6:30pm onwards. We would most definitely stay again due to the fantastic staff, cleanliness, fantastic room size and views.

Everything was excellent! The rooms are spacious, great bathroom with lots of hot water,. There are patios off the rooms that are great for sitting and relaxing. The building itself/property is just beautiful, lots of style. In a great neighborhood! It’s the 2nd time I’ve stayed there! There is even a pool!! The bed was very comfortable! I love the place!!

The best part was the solar heated pool. That's actually VERY rare in Mexico, and we were delighted at the pleasant temperature... in November! Cleanliness, staff, etc were all great. Our ONLY suggestion is to open a restaurant and offer room service, or perhaps an easy way to order locally for delivery. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back!

The junior suite was very large and well-appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding local markets, restaurants, etc. Because if the off season, the hotel did not offer breakfast, and a nearby luxury hotel is the only local option for breakfast. There are several local options for lunch and dinner. The Zocolo is only a 8 peso bus ride, or you can get a taxi for 70 pesos. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for quiet relaxation.

We stayed for two nights & I overall it was a good experience! The hotel was rowdy due to a soccer team reservation which is not the hotels fault so for that I will not down because as soon as I asked them to talk to the room next to us, they did so immediately. Although housekeeping didn’t get to our room until I said something, they apologized & took care of it even though I said I no longer wanted them to. The hotel was very clean & I enjoyed the location.

GREAT REVIEW OF HOTEL
We loved our stay at the Xanadi. It was a quiet and comfortable and that's all we wanted. We enjoyed most of our free time at the pool. The room itself was spacious and more than comfortable. I would definately stay here again. For some people, the only draw back would be the distance from the center. For us it didn't matter, but it's at least a 3 km walk or an 80 peso taxi ride. What you get is return is a quiet safe and quiet neighborhood. The hotel comes highly recommended.

Excellent choice, beautiful neighbourhood!
Great place, not near the centre but the bus goes directly downtown for 7 pesos....70 pesos for a taxi. Great place to relax, fantastic hot showers. Hotel staff was excellent! I will stay here again next time I am in town!!

nice hotel
very nice hotel, away from the crowds and noise, a little away from the zocalo but that's what we were looking for since we rented a car, it has a terrace with tables and a nice view, the pool is a decent size, local food around the corner by the church, free private parking lot ( really small but it worked for us ) a downside : they advertise breakfast ( not free though ) but it never opened while we stayed there, very inconsistent so I recommend getting breakfast somewhere else, we also requested an extra pillow and were told that we already had 4 so no... weird, the rooms don't have phones, not necessarily a negative but it was strange, they also have regular room keys, not cards, haven't seen this since the 80's... lol Great place though, reasonable price and nice facilities....

Quiet hotel close to Oaxaca
We went to Oaxaca for Day of the Dead celebrations which go on for a week with lively markets, street entertainment, and local cultural events. There was a dance festival with several local town groups dancing their traditional dances in traditional costume. We visited the local cemetery where families decorate the graves of their deceased family members with flowers, lights and food, (usually a traditional brioche type bread.) The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly to the point of doing our Day of the Dead makeup for us. There was nothing they couldn't help with.
