Nice hotel for families. Large Pool only 4 feet deep for kids. My trip and stay was for local fishing trip. Hotel restaurant had great food, especially breakfast. Lobby staff very nice and helpful.

Upon check in we were sent to the 8th floor. Our room was musty like a basement and just no bueno. We had requested some air freshener because it was just way too musty moldy and the staff did one better and relocated us to a renovated room. I wish they would have done that from the beginning. There are parts of the hotel that really look like it was rough. New room was going well until we heard a bunch of people fighting and cursing and running around on our floor (4th floor) I double checked to make sure everything was bolted. That was a bit much. The pool area was really nice. The hammocks need to be replaced. The elevators are ummm functional but a bit dodgy. The staff were great and very nice. This wasn’t a terrible stay overall but I don’t know if I would want to return anytime soon. Maybe I’ll feel different once they do a total makeover.

This was the most unacceptable properties my family has ever stayed at. It was filthy. The moment we entered our room it was so undesirable and everything looked like it was aged 40 years. Our feet stuck to the dirty old filthy rug. The electric sockets were coming out of wall, bathtub was black, the tiles were falling off the wall, the main door would not close all the way, the bathroom door was falling apart, mold on ceiling. It was disgusting and ruined my daughter’s bday weekend. Two days in a row we couldn’t use the pool cause someone pooped in it. This was a complete nightmare and ruined my family’s vacation. It was a waste of hard earned money. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

We LOVED the outdoor spaces - the pool, bar, hammocks, flowers, greenery, etc. Was a little disappointed with how run-down the actual room was, from the dingy bathroom to the peeling paint on our patio.

Amazing Hotel!
The hotel was amazing! The staff was great and the pool was always clean. We had a bellhop names "Chris" who was extra, extra helpful and kind. We were bothered with the amount of people using marijuana in Ocean City. We also smelled marijuana while sitting on our patio. We will still definitely return next year.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was good. If you reserve an oceanfront room, you may be disappointed if you get a room on the first floor. These rooms have absolutely no view of the ocean because it is blocked by the dunes, and many people walk by your walkout patio. We were moved to the 4th floor which is renovated and has a decent view.

This was our second time to Ocean City and we thought this hotel was great. While we didn’t get a room on one of the renovated floors, the pool and the activities for the kids was very appreciated! We had fun at the swim Up bar, and easy beach access. The gym was also nice with good equipment. The rooms were fairly clean and loved that we had a full sized fridge, a oven/stove, toaster, sink and keurig machine in the kitchenette. I hope to stay again!

The Holiday Inn Ocean City was very nice. The rooms were clean with good amenities, and nice views of the pool and ocean. The pool was nice and large with plenty of seating. And lastly, the staff was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay!

OC experience
I rented 5 rooms for 4 nights. Our rooms on the 7th floor were great - clean, comfortable, great view of pool and ocean. Our rooms on the 2nd floor were dated and musty. Need to update ASAP. The most disturbing was the pool bar and grill was only open from 11am to 6pm and was closed all day Thursday due to rain in the forecast. The grill is the only place where families can get lunch and still remain at the pool. At 66th street, you have to get in the car and drive for hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken fingers, etc. Very inconvenient. Likewise closing at 6pm prohibits any food purchases in the evening while the pool is still open until 8pm. Ironically the fire pit are open well into the night, but again no place to buy snacks. Very inconvenient for families or couples who just want to stay at the hotel in the evening. Keep the pool bar and grill open until 9 or 10pm.
