We enjoyed farm/fruit stands, local markets, and wonderful local places to eat and find local artist creations. The aloha spirit was so welcoming as we talked with locals. "During our short stay we were able to visit Volcanoes National Park, the Green Sand Beach close to South Point, go night snorkeling with Manta Rays in Kona, visit several beaches, and even drive up Mauna Kea on our last day in Big Island (night flight) - we could not have achieved this and more without staying in such a perfectly placed location, one with unique landscape on its doorstep (the local history of lava flows was truly fascinating). Lisa was a wonderful host who ensured we knew how to use the facilities, and I would definitely check in with her before your arrival to see what supplies are in your specific yurt (previous guests may have left gently used items or extra things behind - we left sunscreen and water bottles, for example)."
