Amazing island, fantastic property, and great host
Perfect location between the two major cities in Bermuda. It's a 5 min walk to the bus, which is super convenient and very easy to navigate. Takes about 20 mins to Hamilton and 15 mins to St George's. We got the 7 day bus pass, and it includes the ferry. If you time things out right you can be in the Dockyard in under an hour from leaving the property.
The property is excellently landscaped. We arrived less than a week after the latest hurricane and you couldn't tell. The suite is super comfortable with very effective air conditioning (you need it!). The kitchen had everything we wanted to cook nice meals, and the grocery store is just minutes away. The pool is large and big enough for swimming. The property sits overlooking Harrington Sound, and we sat atop the pool house while having morning coffee and meals and soaked up the amazing view.
The real highlight is the host Wayne, who is well connected on the island and a wealth of information. If you're lucky, he might even serenade you from the balcony while you eat your dinner (no joke).
As a tip, we also spent time on the south side of the island for snorkeling and pink sand beaches, but it is much more populated with tourists (when cruise ships are in) than the north side where this property is. If you plan to go to Horeshoe Beach, look at the cruise ship schedule and go when they are not there, unless you like huge crowds. We liked Church Bay the best!
