I had the displeasure of experiencing being singled out because my partner and I are gay, travelled with a group of 90 people who were there to celebrate my nephew's wedding. I understood going in to Jamaica that we should not show any signs of public displays of affection, and we respected the islands backward laws...not even sleeping in the same bed every night of our vacation. But out of 90 visiting and staying at Moon palace, only 4 waited 3.5 hours to be checked into our rooms when check-in was 3pm. And all 4 were gay. Isn't that odd. And you might ask how they knew we were gay. After checking in, and during the 3.5 hours waiting to get in our room, we sat down and heard the "timeshare" spiel with one of Moon's employees, who mentioned she had my social media address already, then asked both my partner and I where our wives are this week. The same question was also asked to the other gay couple. Point is, they already knew. This was the start of our "One Love" vacation. So we spent $2000 on veiled homophobia. But still had great time with our families. Thank you J.Deardoff

Beautiful property and amazing staff that goes the extra mile to ensure you have a good time. I wish there were more vegetarian options at all of the locations. The buffet was my least favorite food option. Room service was pretty great and I loved being able to get food at all hours after drinking so much.

I was disappointed with the service, the food and the price at Moon Palace. I waited hours for my room with no compensation. There is a foul odor at various locations throughout the resort. My niece and her family were upgraded to a large suite which had sewage backing up in the sink. That explains the foul odor. The spa was the highlight of my stay and the only reason I would consider staying there again.

The property was clean. Checking in was very long and tedious, the staff was not very helpful. They don’t give you time to settle down and regroup from your trip, instead they bombard you with signing up for a 90 minute time sharing event. It’s a real turnoff when you decline their offer their attitude towards you becomes very rude. The experience I had in Ocho Rios is not what I am used to when I visit other properties in Montego Bay and Negril. They don’t make you feel welcome and they are not very accommodating. Asking someone a question makes you feel like you’re bothering them. I don’t think I will be visiting that resort in Ocho Rios again.
