We had such an amazing time at this beautiful home on the river. Lots of fishing, sunsets, we even had an engagement proposal. This property is close to the villages and tons of fun places to visit.

Get away from the busy city!
6 friends and I rented the house for a boys weekend on Labor Day weekend. The check process was seamless. The house is sick! PLENTY of space and 7 actual mattresses, but trust me…. You wanna sleep on the couch it’s soft as clouds. We spent a good amount of time in the outhouse grilling, watching college football and playing games. There is a boat ramp 4 minutes north of the property if you’re looking to drop a boat in. Ocala shooting ranger is 25 minutes away and free. The self serve skeet station was a blast. Silver springs was only 30 minutes away. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Would definitely revisit! The only thing that would make this better is a hot tub and dedicated fire pit.

Overall the house is nice It has a lot of potential for a great experience but not clean. Kitchen cabinets are disgusting. Refrigerator was also not well cleaned. We one day early, I’m a very picky person when it comes to vacation homes,, I will definitely not come back to this one.

My entire family had a wonderful stay. The oven was our only issue- it worked but was challenging; the host said the part has been ordered to repair that problem. The host was very responsive to all my questions/needs. Entire property extremely clean. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had two families on this trip. The house was nice, the gas stove was difficult to operate. The WIFI was VERY slow, But I heard they are getting a new service in the future. The dock was nice with a nice outdoor area, but we found it not good for launching a canoe or kayak.

We could not have been happier with our stay. The cabin is so charming and comfortable with all the conveniences. This was a family get together to prepare for our daughters wedding. We had all the day of wedding things scheduled at the home. Hair and makeup, photography and videography. Being right on the water was just what we needed to relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds this home. We are definitely hoping to stay here again.

My daughter’s wedding was being held at Doe Lake, this amazing cabin is where they stayed and the bridal party got dressed! The cabin’s location was perfect, as well as it’s amenities! Communication with the property manager was very smooth! Now we want to stay there again just to relax!

True hidden gem
Who would have thought we were still in Florida?! We had an amazing stay in this beautiful gem of a house. Perfectly secluded and allowed us to end the year on a high note without the busyness of city life. The property owner was great! He responded fast to any questions and provided a great bit on information for things to do nearby. Hanging on the doc and relaxing was an added bonus! Definitely hope to come back again!

Christmas Together
This home provided everything thing we could have wished for. The fireplace was generously used during our stay and added an extra warmth to our Holiday. Loved the Christmas tree and other holiday touches. Made it feel like home. The large island kitchen provided room for everyone to lend a hand prepping, cooking and serving all our meals. The dining room worked double duty as a great place for all our card and board games. Plenty of fresh towels, lines and blankets. The screened deck house was perfect for our grilling and hanging out on the water. All three generations of us agreed this will be remembered as a very special Christmas. Grandma Pat

We went with our family for a long weekend and we had a great time. The beds were comfortable. Ample space. The grounds were beautiful. The only downside was that the patio furniture seen on the listing was not there. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great family Thanksgiving
We booked this for a family Thanksgiving. We flew in from NY. We arrived earlier then expected. It wasn’t a problem though. We were able to get in to the rental early. The owners were GREAT! House was fabulous! Just as shown. Had a lot of cozy charm. Did use the beautiful fireplace, but LOVED the dog ordained log holders in it! House was stocked with platers and serving trays and dishes to accommodate our family Thanksgiving!! It was GREAT!

Perfect family reunion
This beautiful house was perfect for our small family reunion. The spaciousness of the kitchen,dining room and living room accommodated us well. Some were cooking in the kitchen some more playing games at the table and others are watching a football game. The outside area was wonderful and we went down to the dock quite often to do a little fishing and canoeing. The hosts for the Home were very commentating and helpful.

Our Small, Intimate Wedding Venue + Family Stay!
First of all, we want to thank our incredible VRBO host Asa for allowing us to stay here. True, it’s off the beaten path. And cell reception was nil. Nonetheless, it was perfect. The location was isolated in the best way. Truly a getaway for our family. We were able to set it up, with Asa’s permission, for an intimate family dinner - which doubled as our wedding! The lack of cell service was perfect for keeping attention on the present. The wifi was strong and available for coordinating events and streaming the ceremony. The venue was clean, spacious, and easy to move things around. The abundant rooms and bathrooms made having some of us stay there the night before and after just a breeze. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to fit almost 40 guests in the dining room with some rented tables. Overall, Asa did a wonderful job creating a home that feels cozy, but spacious. Intimate and woodsy and rustic but still modern. She was accommodating for a few rearrangements we made and allowed us to have our family dinner. We would absolutely recommend this venue for larger family get together of 8-20 people! While not that many could probably sleep there comfortably, it’s an awesome family hangout and there are other nearby sleeping accommodations. 10/10!!! Best wedding ever!!!
