Howard Johnson Houston - filthy & gross!!
Room #209 was absolutely filthy!! The room smelled like wet dog and pot. The beds had yellow stains on the sheets and holes in the blanket. The bath tub had black mildew or mold on the caulking inside the tub. The tiles were broken and cracked and very dirty. The floors were sticky and the light switch had something sticky and red smeared on it. We requested a room change and were told there were no other available rooms but we would get a full refund if we brought the room key back within 10 minutes...which we did immediately. When I got there I was told that I had to contact hotels.com When I did that the virtual agent could not assist and to speak with an agent would be 213 minutes!!!! Oh, and you can't close the chat while waiting or you can't keep your place in line. VERY frustrating experience!!!

During reservation process, I requested a non-smoking room. I was placed on the second floor and it smelled horribly of smoke. When asked about being moved to a non-smoking floor, I was told whole hotel was non-smoking but they couldn’t help what people do. As a result, was going to check out early. Front desk tried to salvage the negative experience and asked if they could move me to another floor. I allowed for the opportunity for them to make it right. They even went as far as visiting the third floor to ensure it didn’t smell of smoke. The second room I was put in was dirty (pictures included). At that point, I packed my belongings and left as I wasn’t going to sleep there a second night…

Not good when I arrived there was a drunk man causing problems on the first floor which delayed my check in had to ask for more towels the next day the 3rd floor smelled like marajauna would not stay there again not worth my money sink stopped up and lamp shades broke toilet flushed slow not good for a suite

Everything was good except the pull out couch/bed. The mattress was just springs covered in fabric..no foam padding or anything...we folded it back up and just slept on the couch
