Room had a horrible smell, something dead/rotting in the room. Think dead mouse under furniture in the summer. Staff offered to provide an air purifier. Couldn’t get me a similar room. Had to be downgraded. Room condition awful. Switches loose and falling out of sockets. Shower was scalding nearly burned. No safety. Awful experience.

We booked a room with a king size bed and got 2 double beds instead. They couldn’t check us in until 4:00 p.m. There is an extra charge of 35$ a day that is not included in the price of the room and parking is 45$ a day. But it is within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Portland Harbor Hotel is a nice property in an excellent location. My room was quiet and the bed comfortable. I absolutely hate the amenities fee! If you want to charge more for the room then increase the price of the room. It feels very much like being coerced to eat meals and drink at the bar there rather than choosing to do so. I know this is the thing now, but it is not customer friendly no matter how much you smile when you tell me about it.

Really liked this hotel, parking was costly but as expected in a city. The pantry section on each floor really made it, such a nice touch! It was stocked throughout the day with different snacks / baked goods - and obviously coffee! Room was clean and comfortable and we got some nice cocktails in the hotel bar
