The hotel is in a very walkable part of Edinburgh. The toilet in our room kept breaking, which was frustrating. We were eventually able to have our room moved, but for the first few days, we had a broken toilet.

I cannot say anything negative about this property - it's quite solidly good. The staff was incredibly helpful and cheery and rate an EXCELLENT. The location is perfect for walking to a number of excellent shops and pubs, and only a couple blocks from the Royal Mile.

This hotel was amazing. It was very modern and very clean. They even upgraded me to a deluxe room, which had more space and windows. It was very roomy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I couldn’t believe I could find such a nice room at such a great price right in the Royal Mile. You have to be careful which ibis you go to since there are two just a block away, but they obvious are used to people’s confusion as they instantly asked to see my reservation, anticipating I first went to the wrong room (which I did). I still don’t understand why no hotels have Kleenex available, but it’s all of them.

Friendly front desk staff and a good location close to the Royal Mile. The room is an adequate size with minimum amenities. Showers are SMALL. AC was LOUD. It rattled the entire time it was on. Otherwise an OK stay. Not bad, not amazing.

Staying in Old Town Edinburgh will be enhanced by staying at ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge. You will be in the center of the Royal Mile with access to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Edinburg Castle with all the shops and restaurants in between. The friendliness of the staff and smiles at anytime of the day is unbeatable. This is a delightful place to stay.
