Beautiful property. The hosts were helpful in finding places we should see. The breakfast was at a golf course right on the water. The town was close enough to walk to.

I liked the information sheet that was sent to us before we arrived so we knew the codes and what to expect. Everything one could ever need was provided down to having the coffee already to brew in the morning so all I had to do was push a button. The towels were lovely and there were places to hang them when wet. The shower was good and strong. Our rooms were light and bright in the day. The blackout curtains were wonderful for sleeping. The price was reasonable and worth every penny unlike much of the accomodations in NOTL. All in all it was a very pleasant experience

This was a really nice place to stay for a couple of days. The hostess was charming and her gardens are amazing! Nice room and extras. Bathroom was full of amenities. We would stay here again!

My room was lovely, and the owners Matt and Donna Lee very pleasant. The breakfast is available a short walk from the house at a restaurant, which was pretty good. My only negative comment is the price seems high ($750 for 2 nights) for just a room and breakfast and no other amenities..but I suppose it is Niagara on the lake and prices are high.

Hi Paula, Excellent to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Not sure what amenities you were expecting beyond the high standard room we offer and full access to our sunset facing front porch and yard. Given that hotels here charge 600.00 and up per night, we see our offering as more than fair. Next time you could save about 65.00 per night. We look forward to hosting you again someday.

Donna was extremely personable. She and Matt thought of every possible amenity for the room. It was so comfortable and beautifully appointed. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

Nice place

The room was very clean and quiet other than the A/C and fans which I know for some people is white noise, so still not bad. The one odd thing was that there was a glass block large window between the entryway and the unit, so when the entryway light was on at night, there was essentially a light on in your bedroom. My recommendation to the owners is to put a curtain in front of that for light sleepers like me so the bedroom can be darker. Also, the small mattress was rock hard. The best part was the location because it’s on a very quiet street just close enough to town that it’s a nice walk but just far enough away that it’s quiet.

Hi Elizabeth,So happy to know you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for the light leak tip just wish you had mentioned it while you were here as we are aware of it and it's why we turn out the upper lobby light overnight. Sorry you found the brand new memory foam mattress a bit too firm, unfortunately, bed firmness as well as with pillows is very subjective. However, had you let us know we do keep softer mattress toppers on hand for those who prefer that. We look forward to the opportunity to host you again sometime, but be sure to call us first to reference your preferences.Cheers! Matt

I was very disappointed with my stay at this location. I found the room lacking in charm and warmth somewhat like a Hotel 8 but 3 times the price. The furniture, most of which was jam packed into a small room was’kitchy’and of poor quality. The worst Part of the experience was my dealings with the surly and rude hosts one of whom was most indignant when I had the temerity to ask a question of her at 8am when she claimed she was sleeping. Her partner swore at me and threatened to physically remove me from my room at 10:01 as I was preparing to leave. Definitely the worst travel experience I have ever had.

To all our potential future guests it's negative reviews like this, in stark contrast to the majority of extremely positive reviews we consistently get, that give us the opportunity to draw attention to the kind of guests that no matter how hard we try, they will never be satisfied. Our rooms are exceptionally appointed with no details left out and we are known for our unstoppably hospitable nature. Specifically this guest was a problem from the moment he first called after booking with a list of questions that suggested to us that it would really be best if he canceled but alas he didn't, and created for us a very uncomfortable three nights with his lack of respect for us and our home. He left the front door of our home unlocked on his way out the first morning he refused to remove his shoes (as is posted in the lobby) and he made a massive deal out of managing a single wet towel in a bathroom equipped with multiple fresh towels. Then on check out day he decides that he should get a refund for having stayed in a "junky sub par room filled with plastic"(there's no plastic or junk AND we just finished a 100K reno on all of the guestrooms including our beautiful new front porch for our guest's comfort)... I can only imagine the horror he must regularly cause in a restaurant after eating the entire meal and then saying it was no good and refuses to pay. We would suggest that next time a flea bag motel would be a much better fit for him than a stay at a premium B&B.
