Very good

We did the Tateyama Alpine Route from Toyama and decided to stay in Omachi. To get to Omachi there is a bus you can catch after getting off the tunnel electric bus in Ogizawa. We were pleasantly surprised with our room located on the top floor and had our own balcony. We stayed in a traditional Japaneses room which had its own toilet and bathroom.
The onsen offered at this hotel is fantastic. Inside and outside onsen with sauna.
The staff are helpful. Due to the timing of luggage forward service, our luggage had to be forwarded to the hotel a day prior to us arriving. The hotel and staff kept it safe us, which was great.
We would definitely stay here again.
Be sure to enjoy the large hot springs baths at the hotel. Be prepared to sleep on futons over tatami mats. There are several attractions that you can easily access using the two circular bus routes in Omachi.
Not very flexible in the checking time. All who came earlier than 3pm were told that the room is not ready. Only nearer to 3 pm were the room released to us.
I loved this hotel of the quietness location, nice dining place with serve quality foods, convenience bus access to destination location and nice indoor and outdoor onsen. It is a very memorable to stay in this nice Japanese traditional onsen hotel. Highly recommended.
The dinner included was a buffet, quite different from cozy dinner served in your room. Yet the quality of the food was better than expected, not excellent but not bad given the price.
It is a share bath facility with Onsen which was quite relaxing.
It will be a bit noisy as it is a mid range tourist hotel with a lot of tour group
This was place was very cute on the inside with its design making it feel like an old village house. A very comfortable stay and very pleasant onsen facilities. We stayed here after a last minute schedule change to get onto the Alpen Route. The location made it very easy. The staff was very helpful with food recommendations outside the hotel, and the breakfast offered on site was great. The bus stop for Alpen Route is just off the hotel grounds (2 min walk).
Huge hotel, two great huge stylish onsens (they switch between men and women every morning so you can experience both). Huge dinner buffet, nice opportunity to try different japanese dishes.
Excellent start point for the Alpen Route.
While there is no smoking allowed in the rooms this has definitely been a smoking hotel. Everything smells like smoke. If the smell of smoke bothers you do not stay here!!!!! We had planed on staying two nights, but checked out after one night. My eyes and stomach could not take another night.
We stayed during the rainy season of June with a family of 8. Can't see much of the mountains view but the buffet dinner, Onsen and the tatami rooms were enough to keep us satisfy and rested after a long journey from Tokyo. Highlights of the dinner are Wagyu beef prepared right before the guests, Boiled Crabs, BBQ fish, Roasted sesame seed coated mochi, Soba and ice-cream for the kids. The Onsen water is silky smooth. Overall, a pleasant stay.
Comfortable stay. All rooms are smoking, but didn't notice any smoking smell in our room. Dinner and breakfast buffets both had good selection of Japanese food (very limited western choices). Floor in common area needs replacing, especially in the dining area.
Unfortunately the cable car broke down and we were unable to go over the Tateyama alpine route. The alpine route website doesn't keep an ongoing notice of when the cable car stopped working so it always appears like it just broke down that day.

A pleasant and comfortable overnight stay
We stayed one night after our Kurobe Alpine trail. The hotel is out of town but can be reached by a short 15 mins taxi ride from the JR Shimanano Omachi station. It is located in a quiet but refreshing countryside and facing a river.
The hotel premises are well maintained. They have a good indoor & outdoor onzen. The rooms are clean although there are some signs of wear & tear. The buffet dinner included was quite good with a sizeable range of variety.Front desk reception was friendly and efficient.
Overall, we had a very pleasant overnight stay.
my husband and I absolutely love this hotel. we went on low season and i think they had under 30 guest in whole hotel that night. staff speak limited english but all of them wore a big smile and very curteous. onsen was great...love the outdoor one. they swapped female and male one in the morning so you can try both. definitely worth going again in morning as i have the whole onsen to myself. room was very comfortable. i booked 8 tatami room and they gave me a 10 tatami room. very spacious room and very clean. when i returned after dinner, they laid out the bed for us. dinner was sumptuous with lots of local Shinshu produce. buffet style,....lots and lots to choose from and i absolutely love it. My husband and i cant wait to return to this lovely hotel.
We stay at this hotel on our way to alpen route. It has the advantage of luggage transfer (1300 yen to Toyama and close to Origawa station.
We planned our trip a bit late and the rate is raised. If you can plan ahead, I highly recommend this hotel. In general any hotel with onsen costs about usd 300 but this hotel only charge ~150. The traditional jap room is spacious and clean. This price also goes with buffet breakfast and dinner.
A very nice traditional and well facilitated hot spring hotel. Very near to tourist bus stop which makes it very easy to find. Hot spring pool is clean and tidy with everything you need to have a nice spa.

Better than i thought
Stay here for 1 night. a stop by point to visit the Mt Tateyama. Good location with just 20 mins car drive from the Hotel to the Ogizawa station to get to the mountain. The room is better than i thought after reading the bad comments. the room were comfortable. If you are looking for a romatic place to stay for a night. This might not be a romatic place for 2. If you are coming with family or friend. This would be a good price for a stay. If you have try the dinning service in the room or in a private area in a japaness style resturant in a hotel. The dinning service with others in buffet style in a hall is someting for a experience. It was a pleasent stay at the end.
