First, he switched my booking without telling me- It wasn't until I reached out to him after not finding the listing after I've already paid for it that he let me know. After driving for over 9 hours, and 30 minutes from I reached out to the host about a concern I had where the listing said it slept 8 people but there were only 2 beds. I assumed with the listing saying 8 the couches turned into beds- he responded saying it should only be 4 and Vrbo double booked because someone else already checked in!! He blamed both things in Vrbo, which come to find out VRBO could not have done. He offered a new place that he made sound bigger and in a panic, we agreed. we got to the alternate place, not only wad the area super shady, which hd said was better than his listing- but it actually had less space- 2 small beds for 7 people. In a series of texts, he actually said i needed to reach out to Vrbo myself then he would process the refund. I end up on a 3 way call where surprisingly, the host who told me to contact vrbo so he could refund me refused to say he would refund me until somehow we got disconnected from the agent when he did say he would refund me. when i asked him why he wouldnt say that to the agent, he hung up on me! Vrbo reached out to him and he did not respond to them. i have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get my refund for a place he accidentally double booked. Still no refund. Worst experience I have ever had.
