The place looked deserted, the fence was closed and there was no-one there to greet us. Fortunately the neighbor jumped out of her swimming pool and helped us call the owner. When we met the owner he could not speak english so the neighbor continued helping us, translating and explaining.
We walked up to the front of the building, it was messy and filthy. The place looked dirty, the laundry was hanging all over the yard, renovating equipment was everywhere and the pool looked tainted with some kind of yeast. The owner said they were cleaning the pool and thus it could not be used while we were there. A discouraging message after driving for hours in a car looking forward to a refreshing bath in the pool.
We were then shown to our room where the first thing we noticed was a strange smell. Next thing was the cleaning gloves on the table and the wires coming out of the walls. We opened the windows expecting a view of the lake as we paid for, but the view was blocked by trees.
We took to the bathroom where more cables and electric equipment were dangling from the wall. Finally we laid down on the bed and beside being a 1,5 person bed too short for me (189 cm) it had an unpleasant smell. There we further no way to lock the door to the room or the bathroom.
We agreed that we were both too uncomfortable with the place to spend the night there, so we had to go through the trouble of finding another place to stay.
