Rustig, kleinschalig hotel in Ootmarsum
Het oorspronkelijke Twents Gastenhoes - afgebeeld op de foto van Hotels.com - functioneert niet meer als een hotel. Het wordt gestript en verbouwd tot appartementen voor gasten en vaste bewoners. Vilavelo is het nieuwere gebouw dat er rechtsachter ligt en in 2016 openging als fietshotel en dat een inpandig zwembad had. Villavelo houdt de velo in ere, maar is tegelijkertijd en gewoner hotel geworden. Het zwembad is... het verdiepte deel van de ontbijtruimte. Prima bedden en ontbijt. Het op een steenworp afstand gelegen centrum van Ootmarsum is rijk aan leuke horecagelegenheden. Die in het hotel - weet niet eens of de bar 's avonds wel open ging - zijn beperkt. Rondom het hotel is met druk bezig kabels en leidingen aan te leggen.

Twents Gasthoes een aanrader
Ik raad Twents Gasthoes zeker aan. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De auto heeft tijdens het verblijf een eigen parkeerplaats. De omgeving is erg gezellig en het centrum is zeer dichtbij en gezellig en zeker aan te lopen. De kamers van Villavelo vind ik wel gehorig en helaas houdt niet iedereen in de late uurtjes rekening met andere gasten.
