What the hell did I do and WHY is this property on Expedia … horrible experience. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had while traveling… Small family ran made me leave a cash deposit when I went to check out nobody would answer so they kept my money, horrible experience. I don’t know why I Expedia I’m starting to lose faith in this app.
The picture of the room on the site was a well kept room, but what I got was ghetto and it was not in the cleanest condition. The toilet seat was only held down with one toilet seat bolt. The shower had dirty spots like someone had been in there with dirty feet. There was built up dirt and grime on the wall right in front of the toilet. There was an old tortilla chip on the floor in the corner of the toilet and shower room. The outlets looked sketchy to plug anything in to. There was no iron to the ironing board. The fridge was dirty and Gerry rigged with plastic wrap.
Tricky to get into the driveway from the main street. The room rate was good. We had a neighbor that was a little loud and woke us up at 5:00am in the morning. The heater worked good. Would have liked a coffee maker like most places have? Food was within walking distance. Lots of parking for guests.
Upon first entering the room we noticed that there were holes in the walls covered with paper and tape, as well as tissue stuffed into the peephole in the door. Then while my husband and I were showering a rather large bug fell from the ceiling onto me. The floors were dirty and the television remote did not work as the battery had coroded and was white and crusty. When we woke up in the morning my husband had begun to develop pink eye. We spent three hours at urgent care following check out. I myself woke up with red rashes on my arms and legs from the bed.
Easy to checkin and settle in. Room was spacious and bed was comfy.
Parking can be sparse, but i notice the amount of rooms available reflects that, just bear that in mind.
This place was chosen due to closeness to our venue and availability. The cost was on par with other nearby options.
My first clue should have been bullet resistant glass and someone having to buzz you in.
The staff were prompt and friendly. I got my room key promptly and everything as far as terms and costs were clearly explained - including the NO REFUNDS part.
Upon entry there was an obviously covered up smell of nicotine - even though it's a non smoking room.
The blanket was dirty and had cigarette burns. There was dirt all over the floor.
The bathroom light cover had dead cockroaches in it which were evident as soon as the light was turned on. It had a sink that did not drain well. The tub was wet as if it had just been used and had soap scum around the bottom.
The heater had a broken power button which require careful finesse to get to work. The circuit breakers - which dated from the 1950s were clearly in the room and had been painted. The iron was missing though there was an ironing board.
The television worked, but the screen was very dim.
The refrigerator and microwave worked.
The mattress was very hard. The pillows ok. Again, the blanket was dirty - but the office staff assured me their housekeeping cleaned and prepared everything.
Tweakers tried to break in around 10pm at night. My door was attempted to be opened several times. Peering out the window confirmed this.
This has a poorly affixed mirror to the ceiling led accents. Should be an hourly.
Terrible, room had no smoke alarm or deadbolt and we had to leave after 20 minutes due to lack of safety. For 100 dollars I expect some kind of safety. The no refund policy makes sense because everyone would want their money back.
I have never booked a $200 room for a 1 night stay. I did so, because i was supposednto have surgery the next morning, but then didnt get there until late. The room was a twist a twirl to get, fyi ramps are terrible to do down without a wheelchair. So when i say accessible room, i mean accessible! I will necer stay here again. Ride from the minute we got there, we were there for less than 12 hrs and paid full price, for what? Didnt even have a chance for breakfast. My morning there after getting some rest, was terrible. I never even made the surgery because we were so rushed out and couldnt find what was needed. Never again!
Outside of building needs some rehabilitation. The inside of room was decent but front door needed paint job and edges on inside of door needed painting. Room overall was nice, nice microwave and refrigerator worked. Staff did provide extra towels when needed but they were rough and floor towels had stains. There was long hair on the floor and in the bed. Have call the manager to get code to watch cable tv which wasn't info offered upon check in. Glad at least there was a taco place across the street otherwise not much close by. Have to get buzzed in and out of front office.
The service staff was very nice and accommodating. The super weird thing is during the checkout. When you attempt to go to the front desk, the door is locked and you have to ring the bell. Then from inside a young Hindi guy shows up and asks you to go on the side of the building, push yourself the small cover at the windows and leave your key card. FD staff, you deal with healthy humans and not with walking disease zombies. Wake up and go down to earth!!!!
