Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
I want to start out with saying we were a late arrival. (A call was made to the hotel earlier to confirm our reservation and inform them of the arrival time). The hotel front was dimly lit. I was greeted by staff member through a glass passthrough in the lobby door. This required me to stand outside in a barely lit courtyard while we exchanged info. The property looked like it was in some type of renovation due to piles of equipment at the back end of property. As we pulled up to our room, we encountered people hanging out in front of our room and more people “hanging out” a couple doors down. It was after midnight. Due to the lack of lighting, not familiar with surroundings and late hour, we did not feel safe. We quickly entered the room. It was a musty smell mixed with fresh paint. The sheets were filthy. The bathroom was not clean. Hair in the tub with dirt. Towels looked like they were used. As we were discussing our options, a bug started to crawl up the wall. This made our final decision. We went back to the front and explained why we couldn’t stay (with pictures). I explained I needed a refund because room was not clean, and property was not safe (as I was lead to believe on website). The staff member said she would take care of it. The results: after several attempts from Travelocity staff, I was given 1/2 my payment back and no room for the evening. Very disappointed for a Wyndham property. I do not recommend.
