About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Coho Cabin is located at the historic fishing town of Pillar Rock.

The property is located 10.7 miles from Hwy 4 at the end of the Altoona Pillar Rock RD. You will experience solitude and privacy during your stay. The area is very rich in local history, Lewis and Clark, York, Sacajawea and the rest of the Corp of Discovery camped here in 1805 and documented in their journals they saw the ocean for the very first time. The property was an active commercial fishing and canning business for many years beginning in 1877.
From your cabin you will enjoy stunning views of the Columbia River, our beach, and Pillar Rock. You will also view commercial ship traffic as it passes by headed for destinations throughout the world. We share the property with abundant and diverse wildlife including deer and eagles.

Activities include touring the Pillar Rock Cannery, beach combing, sunbathing, swimming, fishing, and hiking our private nature trail. You are welcome to bring your own mountain bikes, wind surf boards and kayaks. Boat launch available for small boats and wave runners. Our sandy beach is great for the whole family. In the evening we have fire pits to toast marshmallows and view beautiful sunsets.

Your cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, the living room has a hideabed for extra guests. The cabin is completely stocked with all needed amenities including a washer and dryer and full size appliances.

This is truly our paradise and we would like to share it with you!

Your hosts, Bill and Krista, are available for any questions or concerns so feel free to contact us via text with any needs. We reside nearby on the property so if you need personal contact we are always available.

Relaxing Getaway
We were pleased with the cabin. It clear the owners put in thought and effort into the design, decor and comfort of the cabin. We loved the grounds and private beach access. Communication with owners was smooth before and during stay.

Couples Paradise
There are few places this wonderful that feel this secluded. This is perfect for any couple (or individual) who want to get away to have a little peace away from it all and be in nature. The owners have created a little paradise to share with you. We will be back ... hopefully often!

Perfect Picturesque Getaway
The drive out to the property in the fall is a delight for your senses and the views from the property are even better than I imagined based on the listing. The property is gorgeous, quiet and secluded. Perfect size for my spouse, baby and I. It was very clean and had everything we could have needed!

Our Only Regret Was Not Staying Longer
The Coho Cabin was fabulous. Nestled among trees in a private and beautiful setting along the Columbia River, the cabin has stunning views from its windows and deck. The cabin was immaculate, well-provisioned, and included everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and lovely stay. Bill and Krista were gracious hosts and we immediately enjoyed the many thoughtful amenities they’ve included for guests in the cabin. We loved walking along the beach and enjoying the wildlife too. We definitely plan to return for a longer stay in this most cozy, charming, and wonderful place!

The Coho Cabin was a very pleasant surprise. The pics do not so it justice. And the VIEWS! Wow! It’s super clean and has absolutely everything you need. The deer came down and bedded in the yard the second evening. Don’t hesitate to book the Coho Cabin- you’ll be glad you did!

A special place
This was our second stay, a year later, at Coho Cabin. It did not disappoint. We planned to do some day trips as before, but didn’t move our vehicle for the entire week! The draw of the river and it’s constant changes, time on the river in water toys, walking trails, sunsets, boat watching, deer wandering through…we blinked and our time was done. The property was tidy, as before, the hosts available/ nearby but give you space. It’s a place to go to and enjoy, by planning on bringing what you need to stay and enjoy your time at this special property. We’ll be back!

Awesome anniversary outing
My wife and I have added this to the list of places we would love to return to. Quiet, peaceful, it had everything we would want or need for our stay. Also the owners of the Pillar Rock Cannery down the road were awesome and gave us a great tour of the history and property. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this should be at the top of your list.

Long weekend with the husband and 5yo and the Coho cabin was a dream. Clean and well stocked, clearly lovingly cared for and invested in down to the tiniest details. The cabin was quite with easy access down to the beach. We hope to come back in the future for a longer stay. Thanks for the hospitality!

Best stay ever….
I’ve stayed at many property rentals all over America. But this little cabin in Rosburg, Washington immediately flew to the top of the list for favorites. (Maybe even top spot…) It’s quaint and cozy, but with so much GORGEOUS room to roam and explore. And they’ve thought of everything…coffee, tea and hot chocolate station to extra toothbrushes to outdoor games and prep for the fire pit. Check in and check out was beyond easy and their communication was top notch. I can’t wait to get back here and enjoy more time in this sweet cabin!

Absolutely Wonderful!
This little cabin in situated perfectly in the woods right next to the beautiful Columbia River. The pictures don’t do it justice! We spent the weekend marveling at the river, the many bald eagles hunting and soaring overhead, playing corn hole, sitting on the deck and just taking in the splendor. The home is lovely and well appointed with everything you need. I recommend this place highly and if the hosts are willing, this will be an annual trek for me and my family.

Such an amazing stay
This trip was amazing! My sister in law graduated highschool and we wanted somwhere to stay that close to their house but also amazing. This cabin didn't disappoint. The views were amazing, the small details were also so great. We have stayed a lot of places and the small things realy made a big difference. We would come back and stay here again in a heart beat. It is off the beaten path and there isn't much around which also makes it a really nice get away!

Paradise next to the Columbia river.
If you are looking for an isolated cabin away from civilization and crowds, this is it. If you also want all the amenities of civilization, this cabin is stocked and supplied like a normal house; everything you could possibly need. The cabin is also very nice and decorated, and the dishes and pots nice; not the old pieces used in average hotel rooms. The wildlife and bird life is spectacular; in fact if you are an avid birdwatcher you won’t get anything done for fear of missing a bird. This cabin is practically feet from the Columbia river; huge ships pass right by the cabin. Did I mention the fire pit, lawn and private beach? Stay for at least two nights and bring the food you’ll need—cabin is at the end of a beautiful, winding 10 mile drive from the Rosburg cutoff.
