parking on property cost extra. close to the Disney properties. shuttle service to Disney properties was very limited and not a lot of time choices. We ended up doing a rental car.

I spent one night at Candlewood. I normally stay at 4 star hotels, as I find those below too dingy for my taste. But Candlewood is at a perfect location for my needs, as well as having a kitchen and a superb online review, so I thought I would try it. Well, those people online are not wrong! The property is kept exceptionally clean, probably because it's new and therefore easier to clean. Everything in my room is so sparklingly spotless that it feels like a 4 star, but with much lower price. The kitchen is well stocked, and you can even borrow other stuff if you need it. The room is so big, with lots of space, even bigger than most 4 star rooms. There is so much counter space, the largest counter I've ever seen. It also has a little lazy chair, which my son enjoyed. When I checked in at noon, there wasn't any room available, but they texted me within half hour that it was ready. The hotel also has a decent gym, which many hotels at this class doesn't have, and my son enjoyed that. My view out the window is very nice, facing the fountains of Grand Cypress. there is a third drape at the window that totally works for blacking the room. There's a 7 eleven nearby that sells fantastic little milk buns, fresh. Also across the street (with pedestrian lights), there's a restauant Abdo Kabab, where the lamb chop is tender and juicy. There is also a UPS and hot pot restaurant, and if you walk half a mile, there is Winn Dixie, the grocery store.

I have been here many times it's my go to hotel, the room I was given this time seemed a little run down and not very clean. One side of the suite had no power, the rest room had no exhaust fan, and the floors and base boards were dusty. We even were given towels that had some dried brown streaks on them. Like I said this is the first time i've experienced this at this hotel but it will be a huge factor in my decision making on where to stay the next time im in orlando
