The accommodation is ideal if you are looking for a place to relax surrounded by nature. The location is ideal to reach Orosei and it’s beautiful coast in less than 15 mins drive. The staff is very kind and ready to share tips and advise on the best places to visit. One can taste Sardinian delicatessen at the pool bar and enjoy the Sardinian rustic charm decors of the rooms.

The room was tired, the bed hard and breakfast very basic. The resort was full of families and the children were running riot. There were ants in our room also. I consider for the price we paid it wasn't worth the money

This resort is close to the beach and town and has a bunch of villa like buildings to make up their resort complex. Rooms are clean, staff friendly and helpful, and location is very good.

Fantastic for a quiet break.
We stayed here for a week. The resort is a 20 minute walk from the town so a car is necessary. A lovely quiet spot situated just outside the town. The staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. Breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate. The pool is good and clean and no shortage of loungers. We loved this place and would recommend it highly for those who need a quiet break.

Certainly not overwhelming!
We arrive and were shown to a very small room, much smaller than the room I had booked and paid for. The breakfast was really disappointing, the fruit from cans (when Sardinia has some of the most delicious and fresh fruit/vegetables). No fresh bread (packets) and set up in a small side room that for very congested.

Wonderfully Relaxing
The Santa Maria Resort is perfect if you want a relaxing break away from the stresses of modern work life. You awake to the sound of birds singing, no traffic noise or pollusion and you are surrounded by nature. The resort itself is lovely, very family orientated, we were there for two weeks and nothing was too much trouble for the Staff, who were so hard working and attended to all our needs, nothing was a bother for them. The Hotel is situated ouside of the main town of Orosei, so transport is required, we walked into town in daytime but at night it is too dark and unlit to walk, so a taxi back at the very least, which we did and was an eye popping experience, as the staff called it a Ferrari but in truth it was a glorifed Golf Buggy, but great fun all the same!

Oasis of calm from which to tour surrounding area.
We collected a car on our arrival into Olbia airport and drove straight to the Santa Maria resort. It is a welcome sight when you do reach it, and an ideal place to unwind for a few days. It has diving facilities nearby so would be a good base if you are a diver. The room was adequate, clean and cool with a well equipped bathroom, no bathtub - which wasn't a problem for us cos we like to shower. We didn't eat in the resort as we were keen to explore local bars, cafes and restaurants, but we saw lots of other guests eating and heard no complaints. Most of the guests tended to disappear soon after breakfast and didnt return until afternoon so if you want somewhere to relax this is an ideal location. (We stayed late September, so can't say how busy it would be in the high season). The resort appeared to be full but it wasn't noisy and we were always able to get a sun lounger by the pool. Very reasonable price for what we got!!!

Lovely relaxing place, friendly staff...
Myself and my girlfriend spent a fantastic 2 weeks based at Santa Maria whilst exploring the scenic east coast of Sardinia. The resort title initially put me off...however Santa Maria is really a collection of single story apartments, most semi detached, built in a traditional style. There is a decent quality restaurant on site for those days when you're feeling less energetic! Otherwise it's a short drive to nearby Orosei which is a lovely little medieval town with several friendly cafe's and restaurant's. It represented fantastic value for money in my view and the services and facilities were a good reflection of the price paid (you shouldn't expect the equivalent of a UK 4 star hotel).

Quiet location just two minutes out of the town of Orosei and not far from the sea (5-10 minutes by car). Rooms in several small houses arround the swimming pool, nice, clean and comfortable. Very decent breakfast. Beware of possible parking fees and charges for wellness facilities.

Excellent base for all the family to stay
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was fabulous with plenty of sunbeds and shade for everyone. The pool bar could have been better stocked though with cold drinks and snacks. The breakfast and evening dinner were superb. Good quality fresh food. The evening meal was not included in the price but was great value including the bar drinks. It was easy to find and close to many fabulous beaches. It was also quiet. However, the soundproffing between rooms is not so good because we were woken at 4am by people talking and laughing loudly next door. Not a problem if you have considerate neighbours. Overall though a great place for a short stay or to use as a base to exploring the beaches and the surrounding area.

Wir hatten drei Nächte in dem Hotel gebucht und waren von der Unterkunft durchweg enttäuscht. Es wurde uns ein Zimmer zugeteilt, in dem es sehr modrig roch. Grund waren die feuchten Wände. Auch die Ausstattung im Bad war größtenteils defekt und rostig. Die Federkernmatratzen waren durchgelegen und sehr unbequem. Leider konnte uns erst für die zweite Nacht ein anderes Zimmer angeboten werden. Doch auch dieses war nur geringfügig besser ausgestattet und auch ein Kühlschrank war nicht vorhanden. Frühstück gibt es erst ab 8 Uhr und auch um diese Zeit ist das Buffet nicht vollständig aufgebaut und es wurden nur wenige Speisen angeboten. Da wir an einem Tag einen Ausflug geplant hatten und deshalb früher losmussten, hatten wir nach einem Lunchpaket oder einem kleinen Frühstück gefragt. Doch auch dies konnte nicht angeboten werden. Auf der Hotelanlage waren zudem Müll, tote Ratten und Baumaterial zu finden. Deshalb haben wir uns entschieden, die dritte Nacht zu stornieren und in ein anderes Hotel zu wechseln. Das Hotel entspricht unserer Ansicht nach keineswegs den vier Sternen. Preisleistungsprädikat ungenügend.

Trevlig resort ute på landsbygden. Anser att det inte var prisvärt, då standarden på rummen och övriga faciliteter är ganska slitna. Och det var massor med myror inne i vårat rum. Resorten är underbemannad, fick plocka bort andras disk, inför frukosten. De stackarna som jobbade. Fick inte en lugn stund. Upplevde även att den unga personalen i receptionen som riktigt otrevlig. Resorten erbjuder ingen middag. Endast charkuterier och mackor. Trots att den ligger 1,3 km från närmsta restaurang. Bil är ett måste. Har man inte så höga krav, duger stället
