This is within a gorgeous gated property. Wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent location, great service, very clean, lovely rooms. We shall return for a longer stay!

We stayed there for just one night and for less than the price of a local hotel. The grounds of the property were immaculate, service was great and friendly. My wife and I will definitely come back, maybe when we can stay longer and take advantage of the golf course, pickle ball courts, pool, or even the ice rink!

The lady at check in was not very friendly and the water at the resort was on a boil order. We were given water bottles upon request. The pillows are flat and you are only give 2 per bed and we had 4 guest in one room. We asked for another and was told no. Over all it is a beautiful resort but for staying less than 24 hours it is not worth the money.

The beds were so uncomfortable! Everything was run down and old, couldn’t sleep worth a hoot. The bed cleanliness was not great either. I had dirty sheets. The room, shoot the whole hotel was very old. Needs to be updated very badly!

Great quiet stay
Very quiet and relaxing! We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. We stayed July 7 in room 102. We especially loved our outside door to the pool. It would have been even better if there was key access on that door.

Check-in was quick and easy. Our King room (102) was clean, a/c was fantastic, bed was comfortable, large TV, mini fridge and coffee maker. The hotel was tired and needs a bit of updating. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent! LOVE their signature Sweet Onion Salad Dressing…I bought 3 bottles! The grounds are beautiful! The cottages on property are adorable!

Remote but solid hotel option
Overall, hotel was good given there aren't many decent hotel options in this area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Seems to be fairly newly renovated. Very basic room and bathroom, but clean and well kept. We found the mattress to be very firm and uncomfortable. Onsite restaurant - Trophy Room - was nice and food was good. The location is remote and a bit far from many things in the main areas - about 20-25 min drive - but it was fine for us. We came for a show at the nearby Ozarks Amphitheater and the hotel offered a $20 shuttle. Check beforehand to reserve as seats are limited.

We will be back!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Kinderhook. Very self sustaining, meaning, breakfast, lunch, dinner all available on the property. Great salt water pool. Great cabana. The golf course looked great, we don't golf, but I was told by several other guests that it is a great course. Also, I loved having a full vanity in the bathroom. Gave me places to put my bathroom items instead of all over the counter. There were a couple of negative things howeber, the first, in the shower, there was only a little soap tray that fit only 2 small bottles. All of my shower items needed to be put on the floor, Also, the shower is not very woman friendly. No place to put your foot to shave your legs. The other item is that we wanted our room cleaned, but when we returned, the bed was barely made, they did not vacuum, they only laid new towels on our bathroom counter, they did not take the old towels. However, when we first arrived, the room was extremely clean, so maybe we did not give them enough time to clean thoroughly.

Kinderhook is dated and carpets need cleaned. The rooms are big. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. Convenient for concert at Ozark ampitheatre.
