Hard beds, good location.
This was just ok. Nothing all that special. The room was tiny and the beds were hard. Truly the flattest pillows I’ve ever felt in my life. However, the location was excellent and the staff was friendly, so it fitted our needs. There are definitely better hotel brands in Japan.

It was quite close to dotonbori and other major tourist sights. I really liked how there was a station entrance right in front of the hotel, although if you are carrying heavy luggage you need to walk 10-15mins to get to an entrance with an elevator. The staffs were nice and multilingual. They escorted us to the cloak room after we checked out and wanted to leave our stuff with them for some time. Everyday cleaning was great.

Very close to the subway station, restaurants and walkable to Dotonbori and Kuromon. Staff are helpful to book transfer of our luggages to airport.

definitely not as new as the pictures make you think. The property including the lobby and the rooms are old. It's not exactly dirty, but you get a sense that it's not quite that clean by Japan standards.

Decent location
Hotel is clean and is located near exit 32 of the Osaka-Namba station. It could be daunting to walk in the underground passage leading to the hotel though.

Somewhat near shopping, multiple dining options and walkable to the dotonburi area. Near Namba jwalk 2nd stay here. Staff were warm and friendly. DIY laundry (washing machine and dryer - guest access) at a nominal fee is available. Room size is smaller than the one at Kyoto

The hotel is quite close to the OCAT station. However, if you are going to arrive late, some of the surrounding shops may be close. you may then Have to walk a little bit further for shops

The property is outdated and inside the elevator is dirty. On our first night, the a/c vent had so much moisture that made some noise and wet the carpet. The Front Desk clerk moved us to a different room after he checked our room. At least he helped us moved our suitcases and appreciated that gesture. The Japanese ladies and Japanese men at the Front Desk were all pleasant and helpful except for that one European accent guy who was kinda snob, lazy and unfriendly. He never helped us find a transportation that could accomodate 4 luggages but the 2 ladies did out of their way to find one. Thankful for that. The room is bigger than what we had in Tokyo and Kyoto. 5 min walk to Takashiyama Dept. Store and 6 min. walk to Dotonbori. They provide skin care products and PJ’s are comfy and well-ironed. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and its buffet. We never tried, though.

Small first floor, lobby is actually on second floor. There are only 2 elevators for 12 floors and they run quite slowly, especially during breakfast time(keep in mind when checking out) . The elevators are also really small and narrow. Would be able to only fit 2 guests with 2 large suitcases. They have self storage so we could leave our bags, but keep in mind everyone has access to this room it is not privately accessed by just staff. There are locks to lock bags in place and you are provided with that key. In the morning it was pretty empty but by 2pm (check in time) I could barely move my luggage from back of room to front as it was practically full. Room is very small, which is common in Japan, but makes it hard for two people to open suitcase or sort things out. Bathroom has a bathtub, the amenities offer bath salts which was nice. The bathroom floor had some stains on it, maybe from beauty products, the material of the floor likely makes it harder to clean. The bathroom is musty as there's no ventilation or fan, that I could see. There as a hair hanging from ceiling, minor cleaning error not a big deal as it could be easily missed. Otherwise the room was clean. The bed was a little hard but had cozy blankets. The TV does not have access to YouTube or other streaming channels and only a handful of Japanese networks. Check out was easy at the machines but the elevators were painful. Not far from Namba station (exit 7) easy walk to shopping and sites. More info on google

Staff was great. Personally did not like the location and hotel seemed to be outdated. There were fruit flies in our room for our whole stay and had no idea where they were coming from which made the room felt a bit dirty.
