Love the pillows!
The desk clerk was very helpful in that she gave us a choice between an upper or lower floor room. The bed was comfotable and I really lived the pillows. Our room was quiet. The breakfast has the usual fair but at least it had some protein options.

Decent place to stay.
Room was clean and good size. Realativey quiet but there are train tracks close by. Staff was helpful. Breakfast had sausage for a protein option which is always a plus.

We’ve stayed at other affordable hotels before and usually get what we expect. But it was obvious from when we got there the staff worked hard with what they had. And we couldn’t find anything wrong. They exceeded our expectations, and gave us a refund when we had to leave earlier because of weather. It wasnt even a question for them and the hotel was pretty empty. It was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. Only issue was we read another guest had complained days earlier because they had no hot water. We thought we had the same issue, turned out it just needed to run a while because there weren’t many guests.

Although the room was nice, someone on the 2nd floor was up at 5 a.m. We could hear every footstep and the floor creaked horribly. For that reason I would recommend staying on the 2nd floor. When we awoke, we had only slightly warm water, no hot water for a shower. Continental breakfast was nice. Sausage and scrambled eggs were very good.

Water not hot enough
Left this morning very early to continue on with our automobile trip -- awoke to shower, only to find that the water was not sufficiently hot to invite a shower. Very unhappy. We demand very little from a hotel stay -- but hot water is an essential.
