The check in was difficult as my Expedia confirmation number did not work on the digital checking in machines. I found someone inside once I waited for another guest to leave. I was told “ We have a problem with Expedia”. Hmmm! Otherwise all went well. It’s very central hotel and adjacent to a tram stop which is great for access to all parts of the city. Oslo is quite walkable if you have the time, youth and physical health for it.

Great place to stay on a budget. A 5 minute walk to central station and several key destinations downtown. The rooms are small and very sparse however. Not complaining about that, but they really could use a basic shelf or two just to have somewhere to put some belongs during the stay.

You need to understand that this is a very basic hotel. Clean and nice. But self registration, no coffee, no refrigerators, no shampoo, no tissue. It is basically a step up from a hostel for adults. It is fine

Terrific Oslo Option for Budget Travel
Great "self-service" hotel in a terrific location in Oslo. Just 2 blocks or so from everything. Only issue was that the room was very small and there wasn't really any place for 2 travelers to store their luggage or bathroom products.

Great location. Clean budget hotel
Room had what it needed, very efficient with minimal size needed for essentials. No closet or dresser to put clothes away but I was fine with that. Multiple lamps needed new bulbs but not a big deal. You have to go get your own towels each day. Excellent location.

Wouldn’t stay again
The hotel is mostly self-service, from the check-in onwards. There are people (or a person) sitting in a small office (the door was often closed and a doorbell had to be used sometimes), and the interactions with them were wonderful (for example, we asked for a fan and one was provided immediately). The room was not great, however - the floor was covered in what appeared to be an outdoor-type mat (possibly covering wood?), and was not swept completely clean. The window was broken so that when it opened it smashed into the wall (there was a large “hole” in the wall where it appears the open window has been slammed into and rested on for some time). The water in the showered was never warmer than lukewarm, at best. There was a luggage storage room, but it was self-service as well, which meant anyone had access to your luggage (there was a camera in the room), and it was pretty packed. The common areas were pretty clean, but there were a large number of flies, particularly by the food area. The price was right and the hotel was in a good location, but I would not choose to stay here again.
