Essentially stole my money. They said they would text a check-in code. They never did. I emailed the hotel directly a week in advance of my stay to ask for further details and to confirm that they had my correct contact info. No response. Expedia proved unhelpful in trying to get my money back. Disappointing, and costly, experience to say the least.

Did not live up to expectations
There's no reception, and while that may be great sometimes, it was bad for me. I had to go to another hotel's reception to get advice. The bathroom was clean and well furnished. The room itself not so much. The walls in the entrance to the room gave a very cheap impression and there were nail heads sticking out that you could tear clothes on if you were not careful. One of my two drinking glasses was stuck to the table in some kind of black goo. Under the bed I found some pills left by a previous guest. The breakfast was okay, but not what I expect from a hotel breakfast. No bacon, no eggs, no hot food at all. The entrance is hard to find, since you're looking for an entrance to a reception of a hotel, but all you find is a door that's labeled "night entrance".

The best breakfast!
the hotel concept was different, no reception but you get a code to open the doors. The room was very modern, spacious, big tv, very clean. The breakfast room was small but you could see they’re renovating to expand. I think it was the best breakfast buffé I’ve seen in a hotel! Great variety, all fresh and delicious!!

A nice experience
Our first experience with a "no staff" hotel. And it was great. Well, there was staff to fix the breakfast, which was also very good with ample choices. We would have no problems recommending this hotel to anyone.

Bra läge vid Stortorget
Det är perfekt läge på hotellet när man väl hittade det. GPS:en skrev ankomst utanför Östersund Grand hotel som ligger diagonalt över gatan. En liten skylt klistrad på väggen utanför en ingång var allt. Dörren bredvid var till en restaurang. Där kunde man också gå in och hitta hissen. Den gick upp till hotellet som endast är en korridor. Ett av rummen var ombyggt till kök och matsal för frukosten. Den var alldeles tillräcklig, både vart och kallt fanns att välja på. Fin matsal med möjlighet att sitta ute på tak med bord och stolar. En av dagarna blev inte rummet städat, nästa dag väntade vi och sa till slut till. Då blev det gjort. Kanske underbemannade. Det är läget som gör det här hotellet så bra, nära till allt och parkering i parkeringsgaraget rakt över gatan.

Vi fikk ikke rommet vi betalte for. Hadde betalt mer for å få større seng. Betalte for dobbeltrom, men fikk en variant med Queen-bed. Tenkte først det skulle gå fint, men sov veldig dårlig da sengen var for liten. Ellers var ansatte hyggelig, hotellet var stille og frokosten var bra
