Our Airbnb is conveniently located near some of the best attractions that Otawara has to offer. You can explore the nearby mountains and hiking trails, visit historic shrines and temples, and experience traditional Japanese culture at local festivals and events.
The town is also famous for its delicious cuisine, including locally grown produce, clear stream "Nakagawa", which boasts one of the largest catches of sweetfish in Japan, "Kurobane Kanko Yana" where you can eat sweetfish, and "Yamizosan", the main peak of the Yamizo mountain range.
You'll find plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area where you can sample these delicacies and immerse yourself in the local culinary scene.
From our home, you can reach the roadside station "Nasu no Yoichi no Sato" and Otawara hotspring "Taiyou no Yu" in 15 min , where you can buy farm vegetables and products made in our city. The hotspring also offers dining services or you can get a takeaway and have it in your room.
In addition to its natural beauty and cultural attractions, Otawara is also well-connected to other popular destinations in Japan. You can easily take a day trip to Tokyo, Nikko, or other nearby cities for additional sightseeing and exploration.

Getting around Otawara is easy and convenient, whether you prefer to drive, bike, or walk.
The city has a well-maintained road network, and having a car is the most convenient way to explore the nearby attractions like Nasu and Nikko.
For those without a car, local buses and taxis are available, connecting major spots and nearby cities.
If you enjoy cycling, Otawara’s flat terrain and scenic countryside make it a pleasant place to ride a bike.
Many guests also enjoy leisurely walks around the area, taking in the peaceful rice fields and local temples.
The Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Nasu-Shiobara Station makes getting to Otawara from Tokyo fast and easy, with a short bus or taxi ride from the station to the city.

- Free parking space.
- Pick-up and drop-off to nearby Nasushiobara Station and Nishi-Nasuno Station is also possible. (Additional charge 1500yen).
- Our accommodations are equipped only with showers, lacking bathtubs.
- Pet policy: We are home to two friendly, medium-sized mixed-breed dogs—a female Shiba Inu mix and a male Pointer mix, each weighing about 18kg. They are accustomed to interacting with guests from a young age. While they are friendly, our location may not be suitable for guests with dog allergies. For guests who prefer not to interact with dogs, we will ensure the dogs maintain their distance for your comfort. If you'd like to meet our dogs, please let us know!
- BBQ Options: We offer rental of a Coleman RoadTrip Gas Grill for 3000 yen, which includes one gas cylinder, and a Weber Charcoal Grill for 1000 yen. Please note that additional items like charcoal, grills, and tongs are not provided. You are welcome to bring your own BBQ setup, but remember that open fires are strictly prohibited.
- Fireworks Policy: Guests are permitted to use fireworks in the garden area, away from any vegetation. Noise-making fireworks such as firecrackers and aerial fireworks are prohibited. We provide a bucket post-celebration to ensure all safety measures against fire risks are in place.
- Laundry Facilities: Our facilities include a washer-dryer in the bathroom, allowing for a comfortable extended stay without the need for a laundromat.
- Local Environment: Nestled in a lush natural setting with abundant rice fields, our area attracts many mosquitoes and other insects during the summer. We recommend bringing insect repellent spray or insect bite medication for your comfort. Mosquito coils and room insect repellent spray are available as standard amenities.
