I am extremely disappointed by the incorrect and inconsistent descriptions on Expedia. I have been using Expedia to book hotels and travel packages for nearly twenty years. It used to be very reliable, and I never questioned the accuracy of the posted information.
However, the next morning, it stated that breakfast was included. To my surprise, upon check-in, I was informed that they had stopped offering breakfast a while ago. What's even more peculiar is that when I checked the website again, breakfast was no longer listed as an amenity. Fortunately, I had taken a screenshot while making the reservation. Additionally, their road sign still indicated that breakfast was included. To make matters worse, they charged me an extra $80 as a guest fee.
I also noticed that many other descriptions were inaccurate. Items such as a hairdryer and an ironing board were still listed but were not actually available in the room. After a long day of sightseeing, we returned to the hotel expecting our room to be cleaned, but it was not. All the towels were still on the floor. When I inquired with the staff, they told me I needed to call them every day to request room cleaning. Even when I called every morning, my room was only cleaned once during my stay. In the evenings, upon our return, the room was still not cleaned.
I am profoundly disappointed with both the inn and Expedia. I trusted Expedia's information, but it appears they do not verify the details on their website!!!
